That Pump Hill place is hideous. It seems obvious that someone's parents lived there until they died at a very old age, and now they're trying to dump it. The lot is unbelievable, the exterior looks OK, but the interior is a total gut and rebuild. That brown pentagon tile looks like it's original from 1976.
That house doesn't seem to have much value. You're buying the lot, with the intention of a full reno. Which will cost what, $2 to 3 million?

Travis, if you remember, I'd be really interested to see what that place eventually sells for. I'm no real estate expert, but I'd guess they'll be lucky to get $6 million for it. After a full renovation, maybe it's worth the current asking.

I was worried that some latte-sipping hipster had just re-done that $10 million dollar house to look like that on purpose to be ironic...and I just wasn't avant-garde enough to 'get it'

I think that Toronto Cres house might belong to a former Encana CEO... I remember hearing about his garage and that looks similar.
Edit: Apparently his garage is cooler, as this is missing the carousel and wash bay.

The description is ridiculous.

Located minutes from downtown, (what?) and close to the most esteemed private schools (which ones? Weber, Rundle etc.. are on 85th street)

What's funny is that the City of Calgary's assessed value for 15 Pump Hill Close is $4.59M, which makes the asking price absurd.

But that city assessment likely doesn't take into consideration that striking 32" television in the middle of the master complete with above ground cord accent.
