How does that make sense at all? On this page there's about 4 people who say the injured player should be replaced by the actual player selected to replace him.

If Sidney Crosby breaks his leg next week would it be fair for Tilley to have to replace him with some third liner scrub from a second rate team? I'd be okay with him getting Giroux or St. Louis or whoever instead, even though those guys would've been picked in the first or second round had they originally been selected.

Tough luck? Its not like theres any money on the line. On the flip side you can potentially pick up a much better player then you lost. So hows that fair to the rest?

Just pick a player after seancharles picks on or we can just stick with the original rule, no replacements.

This whole injury replacement thing needs to be figured out. What about like Gaborik? They haven't quite ruled him out yet, but it's highly doubtful he's going to go. Same with Stamkos at this point. I like the idea where you get the replacement player as well. It's simple, easy, and you won't have people twiddling their thumbs and waiting for all-star replacements to be named. Yeah it's not for money or anything, but some posters are getting an unfair advantage on others. Really everyone should get replacement players, since more players are going to be ruled out soon enough.

This seems fair....

Everyone gets the guy who replaces the injured player.

But I think as soon as the first game begins the rosters are locked in.

Sure, I don't care. We'll go with injury replacements. So the player who replaces the injured player is who you get.

Yea he got taken way too early. With that injury I probably would have waited until at least the 4th round before taking a risk on him.
