LOVE seeing this kids succeed. I don't know why, but I've always been a fan. He played 30 pounds bigger with the A on his chest and continued it the other night when Cammalleri returned.

Is this a joke? Backlund is a fine skater. He's not the fastest but he wins a lot of one on one foot races for the puck. Plus he's quick at getting back on the backcheck.

Lol it's a running joke. He went on a point streak after Burke made some offhandish comments about how his skating was lacking; now every time Backs gets a point you're likely to see a dig or two at Burke's comments.

Interesting stat that the last Flame player to receive this honor besides Kipper or Iggy was Bourque, wow and in 2010.
