Crazy to think that one more win last year and we would have lost out on Monahan. That would have set our rebuild back big time.

Can somebody tell me why all Youtube videos are mirrored lately? Did I click something I shouldn't have?

Just got back from the dome.

Some notes

- Thornton and Marleau were barely noticeable. Had to actually look for them.
- Butler sucks worse live than he does on tv. He's still bad despite the support he garners here.
- Monahan isn't flashy at all, he's stealthy
- Giordano is awesome
- Russell is awesome
- Calgary's 4th line had good chances again this game.
- Ramrod is better than Berra.

Check out the video highlights (tsn.ca, nhl.com). Not only is 44 on the ice -- he effectively turned the puck over in the slot. Two passes later and it's in the back of the net

I've never seen such a ridiculous conclusion drawn from a 4 second clip.

I'm not even going to argue this because it's beyond obscene.

And the funny thing is, there's going to be people defending you and calling me out.

I wouldn't say the whole team, there was that one guy that shall not be mentioned with a beautiful assist on the Sharks only goal.

Sven just isn't as good as Money, plain and simple. I know Flames fans are deeply scarred from the likes of Savard and St. Louis, but Sven might be a bust. He could put up 4 on the Flames just like Nystrom did, but if he doesn't fit the team it's not the end of the world.

I've said it in other threads, Calgary needs to be careful with him. Burke needs to lay off the kid, but I trust Hartley. It's Burke's job to make sure he doesn't walk for nothing and proceed to rack up the points.

Anyway, this was a sick win. Awesome game to attend. San Jose didn't look dangerous for the majority of the game.

What was wrong with what I said? In the gif who is the only visible coach/player without his hands in the air?

Is your argument now invalid?

You can find thousands of clips of players reacting while others are not. It says nothing about their character.

Anyway, goodnight.

There was another play in the first period, instead of clearing the puck, he dished it right onto Pavelski's stick. Wasn't the same play as the GA, but jeezus.

Butler sucks, the team is carrying him.

You yourself mentioned you might be jumping to conclusions. It's a short clip, why even bother to try to assign intent and feeling to Sven when you'd likely be taking things way out of context? There was no need to assume the worst from that clip.

I wouldn't read too much into it. Monahan can't be sent to Abby, Sven can.
