Are you saying someone smoked in your car and you don't even smoke?
I wouldn't even smoke in my own vehicle if there was a non smoker in it, with me.

What a dink move, I would never smoke in someone else's car without asking, hell, I smoke and don't let anyone smoke in my car, myself included.

You heard correct sir. Ya he's a piece of work, done it twice now. I'm wondering if it's being that stupidly unaware of your surroundings, or just being a good old fashioned dick bag

The transit driver who insisted the fish creek terminal was closed and he wasn't going any further south along Elbow, only to drive past me on the sidewalk less than 1 minute after I got off the bus.
Yes, I know sometimes they do close the Fish Creek terminal during weather like this, typically they'll make a loop through the residential streets south of Canyon Meadows drive and I can get off at the stop immediatly after they turn back onto Elbow. I told the driver today 2-3 times "Yes that's fine if the terminal is closed, I'll get off at whatever the closest stop is when you turn around" but he kept insisting "no the terminal is closed!"... fine whatever, I get off at Canyon Meadows... only to have the same 'effin driver continue along Elbow Drive right passed me, passed the stop I wanted... and loop around in the "Closed Terminal"
Yes I know transit driver's put up with a lot, and make mistakes, but man, if you force a customer off the bus only to drive right past them in weather like this?

This isnt what was suggested though. He was calling other drivers strugglers and was mad that they chose to stop safely at a yellow light instead of gunning it through what appearedto be a safe situation. No one is saying dont go through yellow lights.
What people are disagreeing with is that if you can stop safely you should still go through the yellow if from a distance it appears safe to do so.

In his first post he mentioned people that slam on their brakes rather than just going through, not the ones that stop safely.

Slamming on your breaks, stopping safely, going through are all judgements by the driver. One persons breaking safely is another persons break slam. So I would suspect based on the nature of the posts that these people stopped reasonably safely.
It also says floor it implying acceleration is required to get through safeley meaning a safe stop is possible.

And his judgement of it is that those people are 'strugglers' and it grinds his gears... What's the problem here?

I know there is probably a reasonable explanation or something, but what happened with the "Calgary Deals and Discounts" thread? Was it closed because it was getting too large or did GoFlamesGo decide that he wasn't going to update it anymore?

Because its ridiculous to ask other people, who are obeying the driving laws, to drive in a less safe manner. Hence the general response here that he was being ridiculous.
Classic gear grinder sequence.
- post gear grinder
- community judges whether its valid or not

But ya, I'm going to explode on this guy very soon, I could feel it rising today. I work with him and I'm the new guy, the only reason I haven't lost it on him yet. What a dick move, we're not even in the car 10mins.

Why are you waiting to explode???
Just tell the ###### bag he can't suck on his coffin nails while he's a passenger in your vehicle.

My dad sold the car that I practically grew up in when I was little. My parents separated when I was younger, and the way I could tell my dad was going to come by for a visit was hearing the rumbling of the engine from blocks away... Kind of depressing that he didn't get to finish the restoration, or even tell me that he was thinking of selling it.

A work group that I am in is meeting in Calgary and one of the members out of 8 said he wouldn't be able to get into town until later so he suggested that we meet from noon until 8.
What kind of meeting runs through two meals and carries on well into the evening.
On top of that, as soon as the meeting was scheduled he replied that he just checked his flight options and won't be able to land in Calgary until 6 PM so he will miss the meeting.
We have a two day meeting scheduled the following two days so everyone figured it was a good idea to piggyback this meeting on the other two so now it is three solid days of meetings.
So much about this meeting is grinding my gears at the moment.

I would have stopped the car immediately after they pulled out a cigarette and informed them if they light it up they need to get out. I don't care about the distance, if you're in my car you follow my rules

This is very similar to my 'put out, or get out' rule I have in my car.

Both my wife and I are what I guess you would call ' professionals', we have 2 little kids under 5. We opted to take a significant paycut to have my wife stay home with them and work part time.
My double income one kid sister in law thinks that because my wife has opted to be a stay at home mom (for the most part) she should be entitled to free day care (it's only adding one kid).
I called bull#### on this but my wife is being guilted into 'helping family out'. I've got no problem with helping out in a pinch but eff this s of providing a day home while you earn double income, it totes GMG's. #firstworldprobs #nobodycares #butseriouslythispissesmeoff
