Well that should do it. Hopefully Scrivins keeps this play up for a while.

You know who is going to be even happier than Ben Scrivens after this game? Aaron Ekblad. That much less of a chance he'll be forced to play in that craphole of an organization next year.

Scrivens should go demand a trade after this game on account of the players in front of him not doing anything

This night couldn't go any better for the Flames.

canucks losing to the Hawks.

Oilers getting dominated but are going to win, status quo will remain supreme in Edmonton. Plus they gain on the flames in standings.

Kevin Quinn is really pumped about the 59 saves.

What a great job by the Oilers!!

Plus he's got 2 Stanley Cups
If he plays until he is 43 i guess it could be done... otherwise he odesnt touch those numbers.

If he could actually have been a little healthier, he may have had a shot at it

Why? Wouldn't you rather they have a losing culture?

I'm hoping the issue with his wife has him take the free agency route, citing his wife's mistreatment as the lone cause

Oilers now only 3 points back of us (minus the 3 games in hand we have on them). Party time in Edmonton!

Somewhat odd that every single Shark had at least one shot on goal tonight except Pavelski. Heck aside from Brown everyone else had at least two shots!

Would rather they catch the Flames in the standings first.

The losing culture isn't going away up there, don't worry. They finished 7th last, last year and that changed nothing.

Can't wait to see media somehow spin this as a good thing by the Oilers team. Or call for the swift re-signing of Scrivens.

There are no other fanbases that get so easily excited over so little. Except maybe Jets fans.

Can't wait to hear this presser, I imagine Eakins toots his own horn pretty hard. Here's how I picture it:

"We played a well rounded game tonight and I felt we earned this victory. Everyone is finally meshing together and buying into the system. Of course Scrivsy (all oilers have -sy for their nicknames) made a few big plays but we can attribute this to playing our game."

And the PR firm will be sporting a chub tomorrow.

At least Scrivens gets to face the Bruins in his attempt to extend his shutout streak
