Best part about seeing our drafted young guys (Lance Bouma Mikael Backlund TJ Brodie Sean Monahan) win one for us, is knowing that we actually have the next wave (Sven Baertschi Johnny Gaudreau Morgan Klimchuk Michael Ferland Max Reinhart Mark Jankowski Markus Granlund Corban Knight Bill Arnold John Gillies) waiting on deck. I can't ever remember the cupboards being this flush with talent.

I hope that if Burke and company are ever getting impatient with the rebuild, they have a look around CP. arguably the worst flames season in history (3rd worst in the league) and definitely the worst year since 2002-03, but still so much optimism and positivity. As long as this team plays hard and never gives up, I can live with the losses. I will still love them.

BUT PLEASE BUILD THE RIGHT WAY!!*

*not oiler way

That was a fantastic game to watch. The fans during the OT period were just intense!

TJB with a sick wraparound!

Developing into a top two D. And no, I won't specify on which team.

I was always critical about David Jones not using his size and speed before but ever since he came back from eye injury, he's been playing well. Russell doesn't seem like he missed a step since he came back. He's been good and it helps that Giordano and Brodie are playing awesome. Now, someone might jump on my assessment on Butler's play of late. He is getting better and not making as much mistakes as he used to. Dennis Wideman on the hand I am not sure. I wonder if he is still hurting or he just came back too soon but I noticed his game kind of went down a bit. I am sure his game will be back soon. Nice to see Backlund shutting up a lot of people who's been criticizing him early in the season calling him a bust and we should trade for a bag of pucks. He's been our best player of late. I guess that thing called confidence is helping him a lot. Lance Bouma is becoming to be a good two-way player and heck Galiardi is playing much better ever since Hartley put him on a line with Monahan and Colborne. As for Berra, I thought he was playing well early on BUT that Hawks 3rd goal was brutal. He just let his first regulation win away on that bad, bad goal. Anyways good win for the Flames tonight. Lots of goals which makes it exciting.

Yay, what an exciting game! Didn't even expect a 3-game win streak this whole season!

Wow. Awesome game by the boys in red.

-Sean Monahan gets a assist. (It's been a while haha)
-Awsome 2 goals by Backlund. Love that guy.
-Gio continues his point streak. (Kind of OT, but Weber is injured per Sportscentre, perhaps Gio consideration for Olympic team?)
Bouma is a fricken warrior.
-Stajan played well
-And Brodie gets better each game.

All and all, what a freakin' game.

(First post of mine in CP too. )

Went to the game tonight. I can't remember the last time I saw 9 goals scored. Crazy.

And did anyone else see Backlund's post-game interview at the bench, and how he corrected what's her name? Lol! That was funny. "We scored 5 goals."

woo we won the season series! If we can end the season tied in points with them then that would be groovy

The hilarious thing is that a few weeks ago while Stempniak was still in a slump I made a half-joking prediction that he'd continue to suck until late January and then burst onto a 10 game point streak. With how hot & cold he is and all.

Will definitely keep an eye on him.

Can't wait for your next attempt to discount Bucklund's current and prolonged excellent play.
^ Indeed he played a good game against a great team - even if it was vs. their backup? 3rd String Goalie?

His issue has always been ability to show up consistently on a score sheet as he is simply not built to be a 3rd line gritty centre. Scoring is the only way to be considered a 2nd line centre.

I'd of thanked your post for being new here, but you said "all and all". It's: "all in all".

I'll forever be the first grammar Nazi that you ran into here (and there will be many)!

Bah! Just 'cause we won, welcome anyway!

Backlund with 11 goals and nearing that .5 PPG clip now. Pretty solid for him.

My money says he nets 20 by season's end. Would also be a great sign of his development offensively for him to reach that mark.
