Talk about a bad puck-luck weekend. We had 35 shots on Friday, and the loss tonight can be singled on a Joey Mac giveaway and a broken stick in overtime.
Comets bring their best game every time the teams play, for obvious reasons, but the Heat are still a better squad by eye, even through two losses this weekend.

Reinhart and Granlund deserve a call up IMO.

On the upside, the Heat had a massive crowd for the game tonight. Attendance just over 6,400.
Most games are around 2,000

Is it me, or has Granlund been carrying the offensive load for the Heat for quite a while now? That guy deserves a few games up in the big-time soon.

Tonight after the game, Ward called Granlund a "star in the waiting."

IMO, I always thought of Jones and Street as carrying the team offensively and saw Granlund as more of a secondary scorer.
Now since those other two are gone, Granlund and Reinhart have stepped up big time. Granlund's accuracy on his shots are ridiculous.

According to some Heat fans Breen was seen leaving Abbotsford with his sticks and bags after Saturday nights game.
May have been recalled, may have been traded.
IMO its most likely the former.

So is Conroy at most Heat games? Does Burke show up to any?

Conroy often is. Burke comes to the occasional ones.
By far the most regular of the Heat management to come to Heat games is Ron Sutter and Holdich.

Holditch was the Flames CFO and then capologist. What's he doing at games?

Roadtrip probably, don't know if he is married but if he is and is anything like me, I'm always looking to get out of town with the boys!

Breen had a good couple of games this weekend and was blocking alot of shots, but all things considered I don't know if he would have been my first choice of defence to be called up. I think this one should have been Billins.
Although with Breen and Smith both being NHL defenceman with experience, I guess it's hard to justify calling up someone with limited experience, even if they have been the better player.

The Flames already have quite a few smaller, mobile puck moving dmen in Brodie, Gio (although he can handle himself quite well), Wideman and Russell. Butler doesn't add a lot of physicality either. With Smid still hurting, I think the Flames needed to add a big dman to replace O'Brien. Breen will likely be the 7th guy if Smid is healthy enough to go anyways.

Dan Kinvig of the Abby News with a piece on the 3 roommates Hanowski, Jooris and Knight: http://www.abbynews.com/sports/heat/...jSbo9w.twitter
After reading that, it's not hard to see why they do very well together on the ice.
