Hopefully the flood didn't damage the wrestling ring in storage.

Rog = Hartley, MMF = Torts.
That was a weird Twitter conversation.

I'd go to that CP meet. Heck lets get Brownlee and Tencer down from Edmonton to fight in the undercard.

Is it still fair game to insult Principe? Man that guy bugs the hell out of me. He isn't even in the same league as Mr. Millions.

Little off topic, but...while I don't think attacking media who engages with CP accomplishes anything either, I think any person who would write CP off as just nerds in their moms basement is out of touch as well. Yes, there is a lot of silliness at times, but the sports discussion going on here is often much more accurate/intelligent than what you hear in any other "professional" media setting.
These days, CP represents not only a vast cross-segment of Flames fans, but a lot of Calgarians in general from all professions and ages. I think the CP of 2014 is a lot different than just a dark corner for nerds...it's probably the biggest (depending in what Beyond has numbers wise) internet forum for Calgarians in general on the internet.

That's because he is a bit of a cyber bully. I actually agree with his opinions most of the time and don't think that he's a mean spirited person or anything but he seems to take things too seriously at times and in turn tries to intimidate posters. He needs to take himself and this place a little less seriously as while I understand tempers can flare up I don't understand getting overly personal on a fan forum.

I'm on 7 basement floors stacked together. That's gotta count for something.

I think CP is more active than beyond.ca which has dropped off in recent years.

Hell yes. I have heard that he's one of the nicest people you will meet but someone needs to tell him his schtick has run its course.

It's mostly the anonymity. It's hard to take a Twitter handle or forum poster with much seriousness, even when they're extremely well-read, well-informed and well-intentioned.

He follows posters around like timbit and tries to bait them on no matter what they post. It just drags the discussion down to people arguing about hockey to people trying to be the wittiest at insulting each other on a more and more personal level. The modus operandi in many threads is to find someone who says something obviously stupid and then hammer them repeatedly almost as a kind of medieval sport. Get lots of thanks and personal gratification, make a poster look like a moron, ruin a thread.
