As for some of the comments by Calgarians on this forum towards me and my city, well, it's to be expected. You can't come up with constructive arguments that have to do with hockey, so you resort to childish insults in other areas to make yourselves feel better. That just shows the frustration level you guys are feeling about your team. It's understandable. Oh well, c'est la vie je suppose, eh?
Anyways, looking forward to the next beat-down we lay on the Flamers the next time we meet, and all the childish insults by SOME of you Flamers.
Have a great night, no hard feelings, and GO JETS GO!!!!!!!!

Enjoy the treadmill Jets fan. Your franchise has never won a playoff game and your roster is full of guys in their prime and you are no where near the playoffs. We are in stage 1 of a rebuild and I hope our team doesn't turn out as brutal as yours when they mature.
You call us all "Flamers" which is as childish as you say some of these comments are.

I wonder if Toews and Kane have been worth it for the Hawks. Or Crosby and Malkin for Pittsburgh. No championships, but Ovechkin and Backstrom make for an exciting show in Washington. There are a number of examples of teams getting a few high draft picks in consecutive years and it turning out pretty good too.

I absolutely do ... if there's anything the Flames prospect pipeline has, it's filler.
I'm not saying that we won't need to make moves, we will, but we have a more solid prospect base than the Oilers since they absolutely ignored it and drafted terribly outside of the first overalls and Eberle.

But.... you came to a Flames board... the only reason you're cheering on the Jets here is to inflame, when you clearly don't have to be here. Don't you have your own board?

Wow I've lived in Winnipeg so if you'd like I can go through all the comments about Winnipeg and make sure they're not too mean for you.
Meanwhile your Jets are a team that's really going nowhere, is due up for a new rebuild, and is living in fear of the next cap increase that your franchise can't keep up too.
I mean chances are yes your team is going to so called beat down the Flames next time they meet. But frankly who cares, that's not really a comment that's going to bother us too much, I am cheering hard that Edmonton beats Winnipeg in Saturday's hockey night in Canada coverage of the regular season toilet bowl.

They do have that board that's campaigning for the NHL to return to Winnipeg, its still active so obviously they're still waiting.

The Jets are a pile of steaming feces, they're going nowhere anytime soon. It's worse to be a perennial 9-12th place team in hockey purgatory (we would know), than to have the cahones to do a full tear down and at least pick from the top.
Also, this is a Flames forum, you get what you should expect.
Enjoy your 10-12th place finish, we'll enjoy our top 3 pick.

All of the pieces of the Jets core are under 30 years old, and in some cases significantly so.
No doubt the Jets need some top-end talent to really compete in the Western Conference. They've drafted pretty well so far, so it may come from within the system. I don't think the situation is as dire as you believe.

The 3rd period stretch where the Jets hemmed us in for what seemed like an hour was some of the most uninspired hockey I've ever watched. Train wreck.

Meh, the Jets are a whopping 25th in the league. Not really in a position to mouth off.

Listened to part of the game on the radio for the third period. I need to hear about the fights in the stands.
Peter and Peter were pretty excited about that happening, especially one that happened by the glass.
What happened?
