Yea it was. The game was over you can't have guys running around starting fights for no reason, the officials did the right thing.

canucks board blaming refs.

They don't seriously think Paul Devorski actually cost them this game?

When's the last time the Canucks from the owners on down took responsibility for anything? Cripes when the fans tried to burn down the city, they blamed "outsiders".

Yes he did in 24 min, his average for the game is 7.50 so 7ack it is. Ericsson's average is 10.00 since he let in 6 goals in 36 min.

You missed the best one. Remember when they raised the #7 to the rafters for the 'Fans'?

I'm pretty sure John Garrett set a record for the most whining a person can do in one telecast.

Easily avoidable on the Canucks part. Don't fight players who don`t want to fight. If you got the same penalty last game and the same ref is officiating the game don't do the same thing you did last game and expect a different result. Especially if Sestito waited till Jackman got up cause he's most likely going to be willing to fight if he's given the chance. But instead he starts punching away at Jackman when he's down on the ice.

I'm not surprised they are only calling one of the players in those situations now. I know they used to take both off but after what happened to Holtby with Emery the refs were probably told that if a fight only has one willing combatant than only give the penalty to one of them.

I heard it last week after the Ducks and Canucks played and it happened again. The Ducks dive bombed the beached whale Canucks. There is no other way to put it. The Canucks were beached whales again and should be roadkill tomorrow in Phoenix.

Good thing the Canucks won the moral victory last game against the Kings, was a real turning point.

The Flames have twice as many wins against the California teams as the Canucks and Oilers combined.

The Flames have 5 points in 6 games against the California teams. Vancouver has 5 points in 11 games against the California teams.

I guess if there's one consolation for them, it's that they don't have to go back to California again this season...Well, at least until the playoffs.

Interesting that after tonight's game the Canucks goals for and goals against are the same at 124...

My favourite stat (courtesy of hfboards):
Quote:
[The Canucks] have only won 1 game in their last 11 games vs Cali teams, while out scored 40 to 16.
Even if you take out the latest disaster, that's still 31-15 in the last 10 games.

They're a .500 team - 48 games played and they've won 24 of them.

Average team is average.

Canucks and Phoenix are both 1-6 in 2014 and battling for 1 of the last 2 wildcard spots in the West. Should be a good game tomorrow, but I see Canucks winning as the Coyotes are slumping even harder than Vancouver at the moment.
