I showed my dad the streets ahead / streets behind bit about six months ago and it's become part of his everyday vernacular. He has probably used the phrase "You're streets behind" to various people 100 times in the last six months.

It felt pretty vintage for most of it. Maybe sagged a little at the very end, but that's about it.
Loved the dark light scheme being used again.
EDIT - Did tend to completely ignore the Annie/Jeff stuff though.

Troy just has just stolen every scene he's been in this season. His last scene tonight was just hysterical. Great ep.

Yeah, this episode was brilliant. I loved the opening credits, with the slow pans of the newspaper headlines. Really strong episode.

I theorize there's more than one. Although most of the information we "know" about the bandit comes from Annie!

This week's ratings are up 8% from last week, and 17% from last season's second episode:
http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/201...eation/228340/
Quote:
From 8-8:30 p.m. ET, week two of "Community" (1.4/4 in adults 18-49, 3.6 million viewers overall) is up 17% versus last season’s second episode in 18-49 (1.4 vs. 1.2 on Feb. 14, 2013) and up 29% in total viewers (3.570 million vs. 2.760 million). “Community” is also up week to week by 8% versus last week’s season premiere in 18-49 (1.2), a significant turnaround versus last year, when the second “Community” declined versus the prior week’s premiere by 37% (1.2 vs. 1.9).
The 1.4 rating matched the top “Community” score in 18-49 since March 7, 2013 and the 3.6 million in total viewers is currently the show’s high since Feb. 7, 2013 (which was the “Community” season premiere).
“Community” ranked #2 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults, men an women 18-34 and adults, men and women 18-49 and tied for #2 in adults 25-54.
It had more total viewers than all the other NBC comedies on last night (although, slightly lower ratings than Parks & Rec in the 18-49 demo):

At this rate, you have to think it will get the sixth season just because it's not like NBC has anything to lose.

And if it gets a sixth season, it will get a movie. Just out of principle.

I thought the last episode was great. Wasn't on the level of the paintball episodes but I would say it's on that second tier.

it and Parks are the two highest rated sitcoms NBC has
cancelling it at this point would basically be out of spite

The last 15 minutes of that episode were terrific. One of my favourite episodes of Community period. Great jokes lined up in Airplane! manner.
Please come back to Community someday, Donald Glover. I suspect the show won't be the same without him.

Troy's return will be the perfect plot for the movie. Since he'll be sailing Pierce's boat, they can somehow work in a Chevy cameo too.
This is great. Payoff from the "Animal House" style credits for that episode in season 1 where Abed wanted to experience all the "College" stuff from the movies:
"It was dehydration from filling up all of those cylinders." -- The perfect way for Pierce to die

The question to Chang set the tone for the episode. Watching him simply detatch and exit the room was hillarious!
