If you think that's arbitrary, check out some of the gerrymandering you find in the US.

You're probably going to need to provide some context. I think we're all aware of the gerrymandering strategy in general, but not with this particular district.

edit: actually I think I get it ... I just originally thought that the district was a lake on the map haha. Yeah, that's bad.

Harper must cringe every time he speaks.

If Rob is booted out, I'm sure he can have his own show on Sun TV.

Are any of these interviews available online?
I'm convinced he has some good dirt on Steve Harper from back in the day to last this long.

I listened to a little bit while getting my lunch, and I have to say Ander's has a very soothing voice. He should read audio books to help people fall asleep.

So who's jumping on the turf Anders train? Anyone going to do more than bellyache about this?

I was trying to think what else Anders could possibly be qualified to do if he loses his cushy MP job but I guess you found his one other option.

These fellows are well-connected. He could work at the Fraser Institute. Sun TV. You would not believe how much $ Ezra Levant makes at speaking engagements.

Actually it's the opposite. According to Wikipedia
	Quote:

		| It was drawn in 1992 as one of two black majority (minority-majority) districts, as blacks comprised 22% of the state's population. With 64 percent African-American residents, it stretched from Gastonia to Durham. It was very long and so thin at some points that it was no wider than a highway lane, as it followed Interstate 85 almost exactly, It was criticized as a gerrymandered district. When created in the 1990s, it was one of two minority-majority Congressional districts in the state, defined to provide African Americans an opportunity to elect a representative of their choice. | |

Could be, he has friends there. If nominated, I think he'd have trouble winning against another right wing option in a Conservative candidate.

Yeah, right.

For anyone who doesn't get it, blacks will vote 90% Democrat, so this removes them from deciding other electoral districts where the vote is split.

yads I'm not critiquing your post, just the wiki explanation.

^^^ Yeah, it's a backwards way to get to the same result. But yeah, I guess it isn't the rich area, it's the poor area.
