A game thread is used by people watching the game to talk about it, so they know the score. If you're looking for a direct play-by-play to follow the game go to NHL.com or something.

Am I the only one who watches NBC 100% of the time when they are showing a game (unless the game is on TSN).
NBC is sadly much better than CBC.

Agree, but it would just be too much of a mess. Sure red v blue, or purple v green would look fine, but when you got to having to figure out if the light red v dark red are too close or not you're just asking for trouble. Someone in charge would say, nope, too close, wear your away whites, and someone else in charge would say, it's fine, wear your home reds.

Oh I think they'd definitely have to pick and choose which ones to allow.
Flames 3rds and New Jerseys Red home wouldn't be allowed for example, since they're exactly the same.

Of course, but I'm saying, it'd still be a mess. Different people would argue where the cutoff would be on the 'color line'. Teams would start arguing their case if they wanted to promote specific jerseys.
You'd have to have one guy at the top where that was his only job, so he could have the final say in the offseason and set up the 'jersey' schedule.

No, I'm not looking for a direct play-by-play. I'm helping to provide play-by-play because I think it should be provided in a thread like this. Even though it's an OOT thread, it's still a GDT as far as I'm concerned because it's an OOT thread about the Winter Classic.
After all, we have GDT Flames threads which is right, so what's the issue with helping to provide play-by-play in a game like this?
