Default Bartending job - $30 per hour for 5 hours

UPDATE ** FOUND TWO BARTENDERS. THANKS CP COMMUNITY!! **

Hey CPers. I've solicited this site for random help before, and I've never been disappointed. This could be a fun opportunity for a couple of ya.

I'm throwing a big New Year's Eve social in Kensington. I've done this sort of thing before, and know it's MUCH easier / better to have dedicated (paid) bar tenders...and not just friends who are willing to "Help Out".

So, I'm looking for two dudes who could enjoy a night at a big party pushing drinks to my friends. You don't have to handle cash and the drink orders are straight-forward. (Beer, highballs, wine). No mixing, 8 or 9 options total. The two paid 'tenders will be working together, so I assume you can at least talk Flames hockey with each other during slow periods!! ;-)

Tuesday, Dec 31st 9:00pm to 2:00am. You'll get a couple breaks and I'll probably need your help with a few other chores (set-up at start of night, clean-up at end of night...help serve some food mid-party). And yes, I know the Flames play the Flyers that night and the game won't be over until 9:30...but I can't help with that. I need my help by 9:00pm. (Many of the guests will be coming from the Flames game...but I need bartenders for 9:00 sharp).

If you're brave enough to throw your hat in the ring, PM me. You'll be paid cash the night of and I can't help you get there or home.

If you're just interested in coming to the party (it will be good) also feel free to PM me. It's in Kensington and we're expecting around 200 and if you're not a ######bag you're invited! I just don't want to put all the details on here as it's not an openly public party although being a part of the CP community is good enough for me!

Happy New Year's !!

JohnnyTitan

Just FYI, Chicken on the Way is in Hillhurst. There is no such community as Kensington.

I hate to be that guy, but you probably don't want to state that the bartenders can drink on the job. If anything should happen, you could be held liable. I'm not saying it to be critical , just looking out for you.

You don't sound like an interested party.

By the way, this party is not at Chicken-On-The-Way !! LOL. That was just part of my profile. It's elsewhere in Hillhurst / Sunnyside / Kensington.

What is that area called again. There are some posters here that use some "I am so smart I will use this obscure description of the area just because it is different and nobody uses it" term. You have to be a "city discussions about making sure all will build going forward are 300 square foot high density bachelor studio apartments" mega nerd to use it.

And it isn't beltline.

Hey everyone. Seems as though I got my two bartenders. Thanks for everyone who contacted me.

There is still plenty of room in the social hall, so if anyone else wants details to the party, just PM me. Sounds like a few posters will be dropping by!!

Please make sure they wear "Karri" and "Reto" nametags.

what is the single chick situation going to be. If I was to tend, I'd hate to have to work a sausage fest.

I am the OP's brother, and am helping with the party. In the past, our parties have been crawling with single girls. We have a really good track record in this department! Time to ring in 2014 the right way!

PM me for details as well. We are expecting 150-200 people for an awesome party! Where else on New Years in Calgary are you going to get $4 drinks????

You guys are hosting a house party and charging $4 for drinks?

Sounds profitable.

Not a house party. Geez...tough crowd here! We're renting a hall / DJ / bartenders and supplying food.

If anyone fun is still looking for a party: www.yycnyesocial.com

I think there are about 10 Calpuckers coming right now (Plus the 2 bartenders).

I would say it's in Kensington...but those more particular would say Sunnyside. ;-)

Happy New Year !! Go Flames Go !!

Hmm, so it appears this party was just retweeted by Crackmacs on twitter, give us a live blow by blow if it starts getting crazy, and I mean like "Weird Science" party crazy.

If there are strange undergarments draped in my kids' daycare, I will know who to blame!

Looks like a fun party, though. Wish I could go but it's late, and I have imbibed too much.
