The Most Controversial Question...
I was hoping CP would give the option of starting a poll, but The Most Controversial Question is....
Coke or Pepsi?
It's a question that has torn families apart.
For me, it's Coke, for no other reason than Pepsi tastes like utter ****e.

Yep Pepsi keeps saying they are number one based of people who expressed an opinion in a blind taste test.
Coke says they are number one; based on sales.

It doesn't matter for me. I like both, but given the choice, I will pick Cherry Coke over anything else.

Pepsi.
Unless there is some Bacardi involved - then Coke.

Ooooh, yeah. Or that new black cherry vanilla coke. That stuff is more addictive than crack. Damn, now I want one.

I like the both. They are both good. Neither of them compare to orange pop but they are still good. If I had to chose one though I would go with Coke, because Pepsi is a little too sweet.
Has anyone had a chance to go on the tour of the coke factory in Atlanta before? Its a neat place!

Oh I saw that stuff the other day. Its good eh? I'll have to give it a try. I've been hesitant because I'm not a big fan of vanilla things. (Oh so many jokes there....)

Try this some time with a group of people..
Set it up so Coke and Pepsi are being tested in unmarked glasses, but don't just compare one with the other, put out three glasses, two of one kind one of the other, and have people say which one is different than the other two.
Do this and no one will be able to tell the difference between Coke and Pepsi (or at least they may guess correctly once, but they won't be able to do it with consistancy). And the preference they have for Coke or Pepsi won't be reflected in their choices.
People's preferences for Coke vs. Pepsi have to do with marketing, not with the product. Coke changed its formula based on the results of taste tests (Pepsi scores higher in taste tests and Coke confirmed those number), and we all know how well New Coke went over

You could do the same thing with beer, wine etc. People really over-estimate how sensitive their palates are.
Could you tell the difference between Molson Canadian and Labatt's Blue?

I was at a buffet style restaurant and their pop machine for some reason only had diet coke and the others were not working... well the diet coke shouldn't have been working too b/c it tasted like soap. From that point forward I havne't been able to drink diet coke.
