Ok... this is the best penalty call at 1:02. Can't figure out how to embed to a specific time so you'll have to go forward a bit or go through to this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hddxqb65YiM#t=62

I'm sure this will be taken down at some point, but here it is for now...

I like how Bert talks like an 80s wrestler, calling the ref "brother".

Another slow episode IMO, I dont feel as invested as I did during the NYR-PHI series.

Am I the only one who still likes it? I think people just need a reason to complain.

It's Detroit-Toronto.

Kind of hard to be as invested in those stories.

While not so interested in TO, I do like to see what makes Detroit tick. They're such a good team with a fairly old group of players I curious how Babcock makes it work.

That's the problem. See that was my main interest as well. But I got a good feeling of how things operate under Babcock in Detroit throughout the first episode, and while it was cool to see, there isn't much left to look forward to now, except funny/cool stuff from the players. And both teams seem to be full of non of that, unfortunately.

I get the impression that Crosby doesn't like Kadri... just a feeling I guess

Glad to see Crosby mic'd rather than the bland interview drivel. He confirmed for viewers what most think of Kadri. Sure he is skilled and puts up points but has that sleazy cheap 'do what it takes' approach to the game like Ribeiro, Sedin, Kesler, Marchand, etc. I understand some guys take advantage of the refs here and there, but some guys consistently behave in a reprehensible manner. Especially when juxtaposed against guys who get stitched up, mangle their finger, and miss as little game action as possible.

Kadri is a sleaze and does not impress me. You didn't hear Dion defend him.

Gave the second episode a shot and it was a little better.

There's still WAY too much slow motion walking around. The whole show is 90% slow motion this or that. Not enough behind the scenes / actual "24/7" coverage. Why would either team / league allow the show to go if Babcock can just say get the bleep outta here? Lame.

In that clip

00:46 Crosby punching Kadri in back of the head

2:06 Crosby denies it, claiming he doesn't hit people

On the note of that clip, it really shows how much censoring can take away from the show. Watched it on HBO then again on sportsnet and there really was a big difference. One example, in that clip when the ref makes the penalty call, it loses all intensity with the f-bombs removed. Sportsnet didn't just beep the swears, they muted them like nothing was even being said. Something as minor as two f-bombs detracts from the entire scene.
Censoring it seemed like a small thing coming in but actually seeing the difference is big.

So annoying. Football game runs long so my series record doesn't capture the entire show. Obviously Rogers wouldn't care, they want me to watch it live and I'm not saying they even made the wrong choice in sticking with the game (obviously), but I just wish this was on HbO like normal.

^^^Me too. So annoying. Watching the edited version is dumb too.

This edition has been too tame IMO. That's a shame if the wings and leafs actually did limit access though. One of the things that makes 24/7 so good is the level of access the film crew receives.

I like Mike Babcock and will probably watch the rest of this season but it's shaping up to be the weakest one yet.
