Yes. I can't do it. If I meet a player it's usually a friend of a friend situation where I'm introduced. Or, maybe I'm perfectly happy admiring eye candy in the form of a cute Flames player and a friend (Hi Aeneas) gets involved. haha

Shea Weber was at Nashville North. He talked and took some pictures with some of my lady friends.

I ran into Owen Nolan at costco, the summer he was a UFA. He seemed to be picking up racks for the garage. He was rumored to be wanting to resign with the Flames. Seeing him with the purchase had me convinced he would re-sign but he ended up signing with the Wild. The nicest guy you could meet. I think I have a picture kicking around somewhere.

My parents ran into Brent Sutter at what seemed to be a wedding photo session at Bow Falls. They were surprised to see him actually smile at them. My dad smiled back but decided not to approach him, since it was a private function.

Edit: I guess you meet someone once so I should say I've chatted with Brodie about 3 times in my elevator and was always nice

Offered to buy Charlie simmer a beer on a plane ride and he was super nice and declined. He was studying the kings line up (the team the flames were playing next) and stuck to water.

I've seen bob Hartley and the elminator a few times at a lunch spot here in DT, and bob has been super nice. I offered to buy them a beer and bob said "they were on their way to the office" and after their meal he made it a point to come over to my table and thank me for the offer.

Holy thread resurrection

Nice Guy - Ryan Nugent-Hopkins. Who I sort of re-met last summer since I occasionally saw him when we were kids. Saw him out one night and he knows my cousin. Down to earth and humble guy still.

Evander Kane - One of the cockiest people I've seen in person. I thought Kesler was full of himself but Kane outdid him.

I saw E Kane at the holts in Toronto and 1... He had one of those over sized LV wallets in his back pocket... Any good pick pocketer (with balls) could snatch it up so easy. He also was with an escort looking blonde who had a mini dress seriously half an inch lower than her ass with huge high heels on. I have him the head nod and he just smiled and walked by.

I went to a bar with a bunch of NHLers in it when the All Star Game was here a couple years ago. Most of the guys were super nice, Dion stuck out as being very friendly with everyone after I had read many on here crap on him about his attitude or whatever.

When leaving the bar, Eberle was going in and my buddy and I were leaving. My friend shouted to him, then he stopped in his tracks to walk back to us and say hello.

Couture did not seem super friendly. I never really saw him stop to talk to anybody. But he did have girls hanging off of him for much of the night.

When talking to him, Darren Dreger seemed rather full of himself. He also told me flat out that he doesn't like the Flames.

Another thing that me and many others noticed was that James Duthie looks twice as old in person as he does on TV.

Jordan Eberle was always a real nice guy. Pretty quiet in school but always friendly. Ran into him a few times since graduation and he hasn't changed much.

Taylor Hall is a ######bag. He's come into my restaurant a few times with Eberle and everytime I've gone over to chat with Ebs, Hall either stares at me and says nothing, or pretends to be looking at his phone and says nothing. My girlfriend is from Edmonton and has friends that have told me stories about him trying to pick them up in bars and just being a complete dickhead.

Kipprusoff was always really nice. Met him twice, once he came into my old restaurant with his family so I went over to offer to pay for their drinks. He politely declined and ended up purposely over paying his bill, saying it was to buy myself and one of my chefs a drink because he loved his meal.
Few months later I ran into him at Schanks. He spent the night walking around saying hi to people, and went out for a smoke every 5 minutes.

Jim Playfair was always very friendly as well. Gave me a ride home from junior high once when it was -38.

This one always surprises people, but John Tortorrella was an extremely friendly guy as well. Ran into him after the Rangers played a game here, rangers lost but I said to him 'Good game' and he just laughed and said 'Well, not quite good enough" I've heard other stories of him always heading to the broadcast booth after games to tell the guys they did a great job.

Back when I was still playing minor hockey Conroy and Warrener came to the fish creek arena. Not for some pre set up publicity thing, just to hang out, watch hockey and chat with young players. Conroy signed my stick and Warrener gave me some tips as a fellow defenceman. Both are great, great, stand up guys. They made a few lifetime fans that day.

Hah, I think we went to OLP and BOB together.

Met Joe Sakic two weeks ago. Absolute class act. Talked for five minutes about hockey, the weather, Vancouver, his life in Denver. Just a great guy.

The next week I met most of the young guys on the Bruins, and they were all nice guys. Marchand took the time to talk for a bit. Greg Campbell was great. I met Ryan Smythe the same day. A lot bigger than I thought he was.

Bryce Salvador went to Lethbridge College, or Lethbridge Community College as it was know at the time, when he played for the Lethbridge Hurricanes. I don't remember what he was taking, probably general studies, but a couple of days per week we caught the city bus together from the downtown terminal to the college.

I remember Jim coming in for an assembly during the 04 run. Good times.

Eberle was/is dating the sister of a friend of mine. I never had a lot of stories about Ebs. I graduated the year before you guys.

Don't think anyone really has a whole lot of Eberle stories, he was really quiet in school. Only reason I even remember him much is from running into him a few times afterwards. We only had one class together as far as I remember, which was gym.

For the record, I'm better than Eberle at floor hockey.
