Baertschi not having any instant chemistry this game. A mixed bag of doing too much some shifts and not enough on others. To be expected.

Still frustrating to see this team starting to slip from where they were.

5 minutes to go. Unless we get a different team for the last few shifts, I don't think we'll tie it up. Heat only have 3 shots this period.

He didn't look very good out there to be honest. He looked like he wasn't sure where he was supposed to be. Floating around a lot. A couple of missed chances but no one on the Heat was doing anything last night, so it's really hard to say. They also had a big mess in their line up. Street, Ferland, Wotherspoon and Ramage were all out of the line up. After Ortio got the early pull... it just didn't look like it was going to be anyone's night.

Expect a -very- different game on friday

I have a feeling it's just a matter of time for Sven too. It's always been known that the AHL is far more scrambly than the NHL. He'll have to re-adjust to that quickly. I would like to see what Sven can do with Street as his trigger man.

Not so sure a Granlund/Sven pairing would work considering they're both prolific passers. Yes, Granlund can finish, but I'd like to see them separated.

The line wasn't getting the spark it needed from Reinhart. I still like the idea of him playing with Street and Knight. Or Knight and Hanowski.

Granlund and Baertschi together seemed to try to thread the needle with the pass too much. Too much euro flash, not enough N.A. crash. A lot of low percentage tries and not enough North-South play and shots. I really expect that to be hammered home in the video sessions though.
