Darryl Sutter doesn't see the need for a penalty box

I hate sitting at the glass. Best seats in the house are first row, second deck, centre ice. Now if the penalty boxes were there, that would be a real hassle.

I don't like the glass either, I actually gave up 2nd row for 9th row (behind the bench) and found them awesome.

I once ran into Darryl Sutter in Pittsburgh, on the street after the Flames played there during the Fall of 2010. It was all caving in for him then, and the writing was starting to become legible on the wall.

The Flames had lost and you could tell he was in an irritable mood, judging by how fast he bolted out of the arena after the game (10 minutes, tops). Anyway, I walked up to him in my jersey and said something like, "Mr. Sutter, I just thought I'd say hello--familiar face in enemy territory, and all that." His response was priceless, delivered without breaking stride:

"Thanks, buddy. Hey make sure you zip up your coat there. Cold out here. I had a coat like that once. Wasn't a very good coat. Pretty cold when that sun goes down. Better zip up so you can have a good time tonight. Or maybe not."

Then he just walked away.
