So I head out this morning and there are orange (spray painted) bikes chained to trees all over Simons Valley area. What's up with that? Is this a prank, or does it have to do with an event?
In Calgary and other places bikes get spray painted white and placed at the scene of death as a memorial.
I don't know what orange would signify though. Maybe your town has banned white bikes so this is a work around?
I bike to work almost every day, and I've never seen it.
You must bike on a safe route. Semi joking. The only ghost bike I know of is on Whyte Ave for someone who dies last year. Hopefully they don't become common place.

One of those ghost bikes was put up on my favourite biking route after someone was killed at a sketchy intersection on the route. It spooks me a little every time I go by there now.
