Jones is definitely not a Comeau 2.0. He's a streaky scorer, which is frustrating in itself, but he definitely has that scoring touch. He's been playing well as of late, and I hope this goal starts another little streak for him, like we saw at the beginning of the season.

The team looked better after the 4-2 goal, a couple of near chances that in other games might have made it 4-3.
Good screen by Backlund and Bouma on the D. Jones goal. Bouma's been the best player for the Flames today. Baertschi has looked consistently good, most others have shown occasional flashes.

Fair point, plus he had that injury. I have not really noticed any big hits though, that would be nice if he played like a PF again.

Bouma and Reinhart are going to be perennial fan favourites.
David Jones looks useless 80% of the time & then he lets loose a sweet wrister. Also wouldn't be surprised to see him credited with Smid's goal. I thought he got his stick on that shot...
Big 3rd period fellas!!

Ya Sven and Stemp are just a step behind, I'm not sure why these lines aren't being shuffled. If you guys watch closely Colborne has a habit of staying away from the play, it's getting paingful

This x1000. I'd much much rather watch a losing rebuilding team than a team just going nowhere

What the hell is wrong with Hartley that he refuses to play Backlund with Hudler and Baertschi?

Whilst I give this team a lot of rope with all of the injuries and being in the first year of a rebuild, which is leading to breakdowns and lots of shots, but I just don't see the Berra love. He has been getting plenty of games in a row so if the comfort level isn't there now when will it be. He is all over the place, aggressive to the shooter is good but he way over plays his positioning.

People have been calling for it to be blown up for ages.
Well now it is blown up.
If you got the blow up you were calling for ( I wanted it as well), you can hardly complain now.
At least the team work hard and have done for the most part. For the most part, I'm proud of these guys and I hope they have the strength of character to keep up the effort. If they do, they'll eventually be rewarded, and success will taste sweet.

Before Jones' injury at the beginning of the year he looked like the guy the Flames thought they were going to get. After the injury though, he softened up to that of a kitten. Hopefully he gets back to that early season form. He also been quietly producing these last few games. So it not a total loss.

I don't think people are complaining, they see a competing team but they are up against a top team and are more frustrated that the compete isn't bringing mor results.

You certainly can complain about stupid coaching decisions. It's illogical the way that Hartley is managing his bench.
No one is expecting the team to be at the top of the league, but don't be so damn obtuse about how to have the team play.
Backlund has shown more to this franchise than Colborne, but he's getting screwed.

Listening to the Anaheim broadcasts is heaps more professional than suffering through Kerr.

Yep - good deal of people are onboard with the rebuild, not everyone agrees with the way it is being done.

Colborne has played 1:05 more than Backlund. It's not as if he's played 5-6 minutes more...
