Is this the stats thread or something? Post them yourself.

It was a sarcastic comment. 2 nights ago in the OOT a couple guys were posting his stats and talking him up for team Canada. Pretty sure all will be quiet on that front for a couple days

Although you are probably referring to all the Reimer/Cherry lovers.. But I posted them on Facebook, does that count?

Have to knock the Leaf fans down a peg.

OMG. John Garrett should be embarrassed with himself. Just tried to suggest that the league needed to review a hit to Henrik Sedin because he "thought he saw" Jordan Nolan attempt to target the head.

Jordan Nolan literally hit him square in the chest without extending any part of his body.

Garret making a total fool of himself in the Canucks-King's game. Nolan goes to hit Henrik and gets mainly hip on hip, but Garret goes off about Nolan "targeting the head" and claiming that "Henrik's a star player, and against Crosby or Ovechkin, or any star player in the East, that's an automatic penalty."

Great minds and all that…blah blah blah.

What I truly loved was watching Bieksa actually throw punches to Dustin Brown's and Anze Kopitar's head while trying to hit them on the next shift and what does he say?

*crickets*

What a tool.

And now Nolan has to fight for making a clean check after a few shifts. I hate Tortorella's teams.

Garrett suggesting if the officials handled the illegal play to begin with this wouldn't have been necessary. *facepalm*

Garrett continues, basically saying that the Kings shouldn't be allowed to hit a Sedin without retribution.

Honestly, the league needs to seriously deal with the retribution bullcrap for clean hits. Start suspending guys for fighting a guy after a clean hit. If there ever was a need for the instigator penalty, it's in these situations. So tired of watching it.

Nothing wrong with the Nolan hit on Henrik, Garrett is just being Garrett. However I don't have a problem with the Canucks going after Nolan. I'm sure you guys would feel the same way if Nolan did that to Monahan.

Seeing the highlights, surprised to see Kadri actually drop the gloves.
Of course, it was a guy smaller then him, and it was after Kadri hit the guy from behind dangerously and then gave him a healthy two hander like his buddy Kessel. Got one punched pretty quickly.

If it was a clean hit that was in the course of play like the one Nolan gave Sedin then I would have ZERO problem with Monahan getting hit like that. It's part of the game and I don't care who gets hit like that. There isn't a separate rule book for stars and grinders. He didn't go out of his way to injure him, he just hit him straight ahead to force the play off his stick and possibly get a turnover. You have to do that with star players otherwise you eventually get scored on.

What I don't like is targeting the player who DARED to hit him. It wasn't dirty, and there wasn't anything that could be construed as targeting him and trying to take him out of the play. It was a HOCKEY play, and I'm sick and tired of other teams taking retribution over a normal run of the mill play.

And what's worse is for the rest of the game we see a bunch of cheap shots after whistles and during scrums from the Canucks being the dirty pieces of feces that they are.

I should have said that I'm glad the Canucks responded the way they did, but wouldn't have been upset too much if they didn't. Unfortunately when a player gets hit like that, dirty or clean there is going to be a reaction. It's just the way the NHL is these days.

Also the Kings are going after the Canucks just as much. Haven't seen any dirty plays from either team, just both playing hard.

more sloppy backchecking by the Oil, Bryz fights off a 2 on 1 and a rebound...but the puck trickles to Leddy at the boards, and with no pressure at all, launches a wrister, Shaw, unchecked in front, tips it home...5-1 'Hawks

The 'Hawks pretty much played safe, and certainly took their foot off the gas...still got a few shots at Bryz, and Shaw scored on him.

If you live in Vancouver, this is what you deal with 24/7. The most bias BS from the local media. Before moving to Vancouver, I was okay with the Canucks, Bure was even my favourite player, but from the day i've moved here, my hatred for all things Canucks grows more and more intense everyday thanks to the BS their media and fans say.

Idiot local media guy says something false and the idiot fans eat it all up.

The whole Moore / Bertuzzi incident was partially incited by the local media.
