It is a wedding anniversary. We didnt get married in calgary, but some where in Europe.They dont have boxing day

If you're getting her something for Christmas, just write Merry Christmas AND Happy Anniversary. Problem solved. That was pretty genius of you to set up a lifetime of killing two birds with one stone.

We just got back from doing the same thing in Banff this weekend. Was pretty cheap through one of the Groupon type sites. The place we got wasn't the best, but we upgraded to the honeymoon suite and I was pretty impressed for what we paid. (~ $150 for 2 nights with some free passes for the hot springs).

Last year with did something similar in Lake Louise, the room and food were better, but the drive was a bit long for our tastes.

My Inlaws were married on my father in law's birthday. He constantly brings up how his plan backfired.
