I really miss the team that gave a **** that we got to see a few games of early in the season.
This team right now is the Oilers minus any glimpse of young talent. And that is just sad. Seems like they hit the 10 game mark and then just stopped trying.
Brutal. What is with this team and first periods lately? It's amazing how many times they've dug themselves a hole early and have to scratch and claw to try and get back into it. It seems like they're just not ready to play, and it takes 2 or 3 goals against to wake them up.
I just think this team is out matched. The sharks are a much better team and you can tell that they definitely want a slump buster.
The real problem with the flames right now is that we can't get anything going offensively. We win the puck, dump it in, lose it and skate back. The sharks are just too strong and we're just too weak for our strategy to be "dump it in and out-muscle them."
The only one who had any success in the offensive zone was Colborne, who managed to dominate possession on a shift and get a nice pass to McGrattin in a decent position.
I think we really need to be a stronger team. We need to bulk up big time.
