There is no doubt in my mind that MacDonald will be back up with the Flames at some this year.

Juggled up the lines a bit with Max getting the call, so tonight Ferland is lined up with Street and Jones.

Good opportunity for the kid, hopefully he makes the most of it and gets his first professional point (at least).

Caught part of the Conroy interview. Paraphrasing:

-Sounds like the call-up for Reinhart was a reward for moving to wing and doing well on it. They told him better opportunities for him if he went to wing, he agreed and has done well so he gets the call-up. In short, he is doing what they ask of him.

-They see Knight as a centre and that he only has a little bit to work on in order to make it to the Flames. He will probably be first call-up when the need for a centre comes up. (Sounds very much like he would ONLY be called up if they need a centre)

-Happy with Joni Ortio and the ability to send goalies to Alaska. Plan to carry only two goalies on the team to ensure everyone gets playing time. Said Ortio going to Alaska to play 4 games helped him and even Ortio said it did a ton for him. They hope to keep him in Abbotsford as long as Berra is in Calgary.

That Trocheck is a heck of a player. He's all over the ice making things happen. Leads the Rampage in scoring at over a point per game as a 20 year old rookie.

Looks like he might be an absolute steal for a third rounder.
