Don't listen to them. They told me that as well I still haven't got my 5S nor have I received a shipment notification.
I'll certainly be giving them a call or two if it doesn't ship this week, as I didn't pay an early cancellation fee to sit around and wait for the phone. I could have done that next month for free.
Heads up for those still waiting for a 5S from Rogers - I spoke to a representative to cancel my order for the 5S tonight and was informed that they had a glitch in their system that set orders to "ready" but it wouldn't budge from there, so they never got processed. They are starting to clear it up now, but if you call you can ask if your order is stuck and they can have it processed in 1-2 days.
Hopefully those of you earlier in the thread already got your phones but if not I would highly recommend calling Rogers. The lady I spoke to said "we have plenty of stock and that is not holding back any orders."

I ordered my 4S from them 2 years ago and it never arrived. At least they're consistent.

Is anybody else waiting/have gotten there 5s through Best Buy? I ordered one through them a couple days ago and am wondering on wait times.
Some stores are starting to receive extra stock in terms of 16GB Silver and Grey. A smidgen of 64GB for the same colors while 32GB is still an unknown. Gold has also been a little mythical in its existence as well.

Thanks...I of course ordered a 32 meg... Not in gold tho...

Yeah I ordered a 32gb silver. I talked to Rogers last week and at that time they had 16gb 5S's in black but nothing in 32gb and zero gold phones period. I can't believe so many people would jump on the gold bandwagon. Seems like most of the 5S phones available are black. Not sure if that's because Apple made more blacks or that silver and gold are more popular.
Got my 5s about 3 weeks ago and have been happy with it but it started acting up tonight.
Anyone have any idea what might be wrong?
It started out of nowhere, and was not dropped or wet... it starts with a line on the bottom of the screen at start up and turns to faded red vertical lines (on the bottom quarter of the screen only):
I am in the US at the moment but upon return should I take it back to a Bell store (my carrier that I got it from) or to an Apple store?
I still got nothing. I think I'm low priority seeing how they have me locked in for two years.
I finally got my confirmation email today that mine is on the way 5S (Silver - 16 gig). I ordered on Sept 22nd. I did call them twice and while the customer service associates were friendly enough, they didn't have a lot of answers.
Did you get an email last week that that your order was still being processed?
I managed to get a black (space grey) 32GB iPhone 5S this weekend after calling the Apple stores here in Sydney for a month. Just my luck they had the one I wanted in stock.
I was coming from a 4S so the screen size increase is great and with the A7 chip, it's a lot faster running iOS 7, which I still like.
The only question I have is I made a backup of my 4S and then did a restore to my 5S which synced all my apps, music, photos, etc which was great.
Photos took up the most space on my previous iPhone -- does anyone have any tips/tricks to back up the photos and get them off your iPhone but still have access to them because they take up so much space? I guess even with 32GB, so you have to picky about which apps/music/etc goes on your phone.

Hope you get word from them soon.
Yeah I got the email last week saying my order is in the queue. Still no word on mine shipping. I am somewhat patient so as long as we don't get into 2014 I'm okay.

Dropbox would work for that.

Teresa Brewer, an Apple spokeswoman, sent a statement to the New York Times that said “We recently discovered a manufacturing issue affecting a very limited number of iPhone 5S devices that could cause the battery to take longer to charge or result in reduced battery life. We are reaching out to customers with affected phones and will provide them with a replacement phone.”

I had a somewhat similar screen problem with my 5, took it back to the apple store, and they gave me a new one.
