I just wanted to see them get back to that hard-skating, hard-working play that has been so enjoyable.

And did they ever! This team is fun to watch.

Cammalleri has been a beast since returning. Russell was a fantastic pickup.

That was Ramo's best game. He has been getting better in every outing - getting more comfortable with the smaller ice and faster shooters maybe? Let's hope it continues.

I know people are upset with Backlund's icetime, but when Stempniak is back, I could live with:

Glencross - Stajan - Stempniak
Baertschi - Monahan - Hudler
Cammalleri - Colborne - Galiardi
Bouma - Backlund - Jones

and just roll 4 lines and try and skate the other team into the ground.

Unfortunately, a healthy lineup is a rare thing anyway so it won't matter.

3-0-1 at home, too bad they don't play until Wednesday

So Hrudey... if a team comes in to Calgary and wins, then no big deal right? But if they lose, it's because of the altitude? Got it.

"So Adam, do you think the altitude had an effect on your team?" "No, we have been here for a couple days so, no."

Hrudey, that was brutal - I thought you were better than that.

Fun fact: only two teams in the east have fewer regulation losses than the Flames. Boston and Tampa each have 3.

If you are going to bash CBC announcers, Hrudey should be last on the list. Usually one of the few that has anything nice to saw about Calgary.

And I believe the altitude question was asked because Oates was complaining about altitude earlier in the week.

Fun fact #2 (in honour of the big win after coming home from a long road trip):

Was watching the Caps' coverage of their game against Edmonton and they presented the fact that, after a road trip of at last two games, the Oilers are 1-13 in their first game back.

1-13 now that is special

Mentioning it once or twice would have been fine, but...

Really happy to see Glencross get one on a nice feed. Looked like a lot of weight dropped off of him after the goal.

Rick Ball is...unquantifiably better than Mark Lee. I'm having trouble articulating the many ways CBC's presentation was so vastly superior with Ball and Lee as the only variables

I hope Rick Ball sticks with CBC and the West, he's a treat.

Baertschi was absolutely flying all night. Every time he touched the puck in the offensive zone something happened. It's great to see him come back from the press box with that kind of play.
Defensively he wasn't terrible either. It was interesting to see him defending down low while Monahan played high.

You could see the slump buster coming all game long too. He got the puck so many times in so many good spots, but his lack of confidence led him to pass it off. Doing everything right but shoot. Hopefully he will parlay that goal into a little more confidence with the puck.

Dammit, I was so drunk after the Stamps and Flames wins last night I forgot to post a mildly interesting gif in the PGT and get a bunch of thanks for it. Ah well, next time.

The Jason Garrison signing is so much better than the Dennis Wideman signing

Nope, Rämö also had the exact same 27 saves on 29 shots in LA. Still early, but Rämö seems to be taking over that starter spot.

Well in all fairness, Ramo was brought in to be the starter. I don't think many actually thought MacDonald was a starter.

I think Ramo can actually do fairly decent if given the chance.

Good to see the Flames blocking so many shots from the slot. Good game!

Ramo is the starter and Joey Mac is the backup. I just don't get what's the fuzz when Hartley started MacDonald a few games in a row on an early season. Ramo does not have enough experience in the NHL so Hartley was easing him up early in the season. People were just having a panic attack for some reason. After 10 games, we will probably start seeing Ramo playing more and more but not like Kipper # of starts.

I suspect Hartley also didn't want to just hand the starter spot to Rämö.

And yeah, people have generally been overreacting to pretty much every move so far (if you ask me, which I'm sure everyone was just about to do).
