To be fair, he has almost been around as long as the franchise has been in Calgary.

Cost us a playoff spot too.
Came to gripe about the only game in Anaheim I've seen live and call out Bourque for being... Bourque. See it's been well taken care of. Leaving satisfied.

Unfortunately the game doesn't start until 3am here in London. I'm just hoping to wake up to some good news. Otherwise, it might be a long day tomorrow.

Brent Sutter has to take some of the blame too. Why the crap would Bork be on the ice with 2 minutes left in the game with a 1 goal lead?????!!!!!! arghhhh.

I'll be happy if the Flames keep putting the effort from the first 5 games.

With that said, 3-2 Flames.

That works out ok when you're jet lagged though! Managed to catch all the 3:00 kickoffs when I last visited Calgary...

Perry - Getzlaf - Penner is a terrifying line.

Bourque USED to be a very, very good 2-way player. I remember him killing penalties and having him line-match against the better lines in the league - though by that time we are speaking of in Anaheim, he was the frustratingly inconsistent player.

Also, that penalty.. IIRC, didn't Bourque break his stick, and then held onto it for a long time, including when a guy was going to check him and he held it out almost like a spear, and getting called for it just then? Was that the same game, or am I remembering it wrong? One of the most stupidest things I have ever seen an NHL player do.

And people wonder why this country of 30million + people, great infrastructure, facilities not to mention playing in a rather weak qualifying division in world soccer cannot qualify for the world cup of soccer. FFS Trinidad and Tobago qualified for the world cup recently and they have less than 2 million people on their island. It isnt that Canadians cant play soccer - its that it is mostly viewed as girly or not impressive.

[/trolled]

Haha im sure you are joking but anywho back on topic. I say we beat the Ducks 5-2. Hiller will be in net for them by the end of the 2nd. Backlund, Wideman, Baer (2) , Monahan. - Scorers for Anaheim - Perry and Getz

I'm going with a 4-2 win for the ducks. Flames take a quick 2-0 lead. The Ducks score in the last minute of the 1st. They then score 2 in the second period and an empty netter in the 3rd.

I remember that stick incident but I don't think it was in this game... I almost think he nudged a guy from behind in front of the net and the guy fell to the ice in a bit of a dive. That might have been what bothered me about the call... That the guy really sold the push and no diving penalty was given.
