Here's hoping for a 3 goal game from the Yak, and a -3, in a 6-3 loss. He'll be jusitifed in the thought that he should be in the lineup for offense, the coach (and some teammates) would rather him have not played and lose 4-1 instead of 6-3.

Then, hopefully Yak continues the non-scripted quotes and calls out his horrible defense and substandard goaltending, for the reason he was a -3, and he probably wouldn't be wrong.

Yakupov is usually the first one on the ice and the last one off... Some of you are reading into this way too much.

People are making a big deal about this but I love it! I hate the Oilers and I would love for them to lose a gem like Yakupov for a bag of pucks

So you're saying he takes too long of shifts? I've noticed that as well.

The state of the Oilers franchise has become genuinely sad. While I don't take a backseat to anyone in my hatred for Edmonton, I do hope that at some point the circus up there ends so the Battle of Alberta can become a marquee match-up again. It's almost embarrassing to have a rival that's such a disaster.

But, but, but the Oilers have unquestionably the best pool of young talent in the League . . .

Yakupov pots one early tonight and celebrates (cellies) like he just won the Stanley Cup.

Finishes the night -3.

The Oilers should just send him down to the minors.. it's such a waste seeing a guy like Yakupov go to waste. But I guess its the Oilers for you.. haha.

I dunno, I'm feeling pretty good in the neighborhood. I'd like to see how low things can go when it comes to the Oilers...there seems to be new and uncharted territory every year.

I guess at some point it would be nice to have a playoff series again, but until then, keep on keepin' on you crazy greasers.

I honestly don't think you do.

As bad as the Flames have been they've never been draft first overall bad, especially three years in a row. The Flames haven't been good in three straight years, missing the playoffs, but they aren't poised to miss it 8 years in a row, at what's supposed to be their big coming out year as a dominate team filled with these young exciting players.

The Flames are bad, they've been bad, but they haven't been joke of the league bad.

Much as I relish the struggles of the Oilers, I don't think we can assume the Flames are going to do better in the win-loss column. However, we don't seem to be as likely to provide comic relief for the rest of the league.
