				 Flames Injured Players

Will we ever know the seriousness of the injured players? And their return dates?
 Mike Cammalleri-hand
 Matt Stajan-leg contusion
 David Jones-shoulder

All three guys healthy would be a great bonus!

Dreger reported at the Montreal game that the Flames expected it would be still a week before Cammalleri could pick up and properly hold a stick. Then said it would be another week or two before he was expected to return.
Stajan and Jones are listed as week to week

Cammalleri can't hold a stick yet. He's skating, I believe, and has a stall in the locker room, but I'm not sure how far along he is outside of that.

Jones is said to be week-to-week. Haven't heard a timeline for Stajan.

I thought Jones was making a solid contribution. I hope he's back soon.

and I'm pretty sure most guys on the Flames have a dislocated jaw from it always dropping when they see Monahan score.... That kid seems to be surprising everyone!
Jones might be the biggest loss right now as he's developed chemistry on the team. Stajan was actually playing really well with Glencross too. I just wonder where Cammy is going to fit in when he comes back, would love to see him instantly click with some of the guys. I could see him on a line with Hudler being really good.

Is anyone else concerned that we've heard exactly nothing regarding these players returning? I think we'll struggle without David Jones especially.

You have to take it for what it is. Don't expect any of these three back before December or you'll be disappointed.

I don't think we'll ever get a definite date. I guess the good news is that Calgary is playing well so it's giving these guys time to heal, and not be rushed back risking further injury and losing them for even longer.
Although last I heard on Stajan was that he was going pretty hard in the gym and making strides. Granted, I heard the same thing for Jones and Cammy so take it for what it's worth. This team really enjoys keeping everyone guessing.

Stajan can take his time if he wants. Gives more opportunities to Monahan, Colborn and Backlund.

Really, you think we've been playing well? We've lost as many games as we've won and we're currently not even in a playoff spot. We've given up just as many goals as we've scored, so I'd say we're doing pretty darn average.

Slightly above average which is about 10x better than anyone expected coming into the season. We're the Bad News Bears of hockey.

The Flames have only lost one game in regulation. The Flames were billed as an easy two points for every other team in the NHL. The fact they have MADE every team they have played work for the points means this team is better than many said they would be. As for the playoff spot comment...there are 76 games left in the season...get a freaking grip.
