I can watch all these games (minus the Canadiens) but I get stuck watching Nashville so many times. Seth Jones is honestly so dominant as a rookie. He is super fun to watch. He takes over the game sometimes. I have no idea how he dropped to fourth. Jones would easily have a couple points tonight but Bernier is standing on his head.
It's still early on but I doubt that the Avs are too upset with how MacKinnon has started and Barkov seems like one of the better players on the Panthers so far. I guess Drouin hasn't been as impressive getting sent down but I don't think that is a surprise.
Some good talent at the top of the draft had a lot to do with Jones "slipping" to 4th. Based on early, early season play I am not sure many, if any, of the teams ahead of Nashville will be disappointed with the decision they made.
I wonder if AV will be the second coach fired this season. His team has given up 15 goals through 5 periods of hockey

No chance, his job will be safe for at least the year. Even if Sather concludes he hired the wrong guy he is too stubborn to admit it. I always thought AV was a decent coach, better than Torts.
^ He should have taken the job in Dallas, just like Eakins should have. The lesson is don't get hired by teams with crappy Oilers managers' ruining their organization.

This could be a damn nice OOT night if everything holds up.
Oilers lose, Canucks lose, Leafs win, but two out of three ain't half bad.
