Oh, don't worry. The 'Nucks are pretty much guaranteed a 5 on 3 with a minute left if they're trailing by 1. C'mon, we all know it's gonna happen.

We could easily be up another few goals.
It makes me so happy seeing the team play like this. It was everything I hoped for before the season started, but I didn't expect it to happen so quickly. Win or lose, the enthusiasm is awesome!

Seriously, Valk is painful.

Monahan deserves to stay, call up Ottawa and tell them we will send them Colborne as a present

If that's the case, hopefully the Flames play it smart and let him play in the OHL another season.

Canucks panel at 2nd intermission:
"Calgary is the better team right now"
"Calgary is outworking the Canucks"
"they were all over Vancouver"
"they dominated them physically"
We need to hire Garry Valk. He is intelligent...ish... but most importantly speaks the TRUTH.

I don't know what's best for him. I do think that he looks really good for someone who's playing his third game in the NHL. Who knows how good he'll look after a couple of months if he stays.

That's correct. Right after he referred to our building as the "Scotiaback Saddledome".

Monahan has looked middling in this game. He could stay in the NHL this season but I honestly don't see him being completely ready. If we weren't as weak down the middle there wouldn't be as much debate about bringing him up or not.
|
I think Monahan has looked pretty good to be honest. Leads the team for SOG after 2 periods, 2 of them could of been goals. Looks solid defensively, even spent some time on the power play with faceoff wins against 1st liners.
Just my 2cents.

I am so confident Monahan is staying I'm heading out to get my jersey tomorrow. No way in hell do they send him back. He's already better than any centres the Flames have had for years.

I don't think Bob Marley would be a very good coach. I would imagine a fair bit of recreational drug use, and a good emphasis on being rested.

I think he's looked great. He's been handled perfectly, IMO and he doesn't look out of place. However, he doesn't get PP or PK time and once Stajan and Cammellari get healthy, his minutes are going to be more and more restricted.
Have him go back to the OHL, play in every scenario and continue to develop (after 6 more NHL games).

Mahonen is a player.
He looks better and more complete than Baertschi and there doesn't seem to be much debate on where he belongs.
Were I Burke, I would keep him up with the big club all year.
He hasn't looked 'bad' once.
