I would be too if the Flames are playing they way they are right now and have been for the first 10mins+

Mike Green is like Jay bouwmeester without speed, size or a commitment to the defensive zone.

Might be the softest defender in front of the net in the NHL. Honourable mention to Sami Salo and Chris Butler.

Love the effort, this is all I want. No more country club mentality.

I fricken hate Shaw internet, have had crap internet all day, can't even connect the computer and Apple TV keeps buffering the game every 5 seconds. About to just go to the bar and watch this. It's like they are purposefully giving crap internet during the game in a game of chicken to get me to pay for cable.

They aren't allowing any Keenan level chances against so far.

I think the Caps will turn on the heat later though.

I am only hoping that they give this kind of effort on a consistent basis. That'll allow for some interesting games even if we might lose a lot.

Wideman with the hit and the recovery.

The guy should just convert to RW.

Ah hell, who cares, enjoy it while it lasts.
Win or lose if they skate like that this is a team a city can get behind. They have my vote on effort alone. They are playing like it means something to them.

Great play by Wideman. Gets muscled out on the hit, but gets up and stick checks Laich. Awesome

I'm going to have so much fun watching these Flames this year if this is the kind of effort we are going to get. Win or lose, this is what I like to see.

One general thought that I am noticing is that this team is MUCH faster.

And can Ferraro just shut up about 'low expectations' and 'lack of skill'. It is getting a bit annoying.
