I really don't like watching Coyotes games, they are like Wild games of the early 2000's, and it seems like the Flames always play right into their game plan.

Feaster's a talker though, I've said it many times, I rarely take his rants seriously. I officially checked out at the '12 trade deadline where he threatens major shake ups and went on to make one move, re-upping Jackman.

Think that may have been a result of the pressure Feaster and company are feeling about the future? Or maybe based on expectations Burke set or explained when he was brought in? I think they want the future face of the franchise to be an example on and off the ice, like Iginla.

It wasn't anything like that, it's laughable how much you're projecting onto that comment.

On the bright side we get to play them five times this season?

Yup, I've been looking forward to this game all day, and now I'm starting to wonder why.

Playing the Coyotes was bad enough before, but now they have Mike "2 or 3 points every time he plays the Flames" Ribeiro too. And now they're in our division.
Should be good for our draft position, at any rate.

Some drizzle about how the Flames will work hard but that is all the Flames fans should expect with his little smirk. I can't stand him.

Looks like the bitching about every tiny bit of tv coverage is starting early this year.

Phoenix does that to almost every team, especially with the lead. Just back 4 guys up at the blue line and chip pucks out and down the ice. Crappy part is they win this way a lot too.
It may not be the Flames' best game this preseason, but I wouldn't get too worked up about how they look tonight playing this team.

This new division is kind of a nightmare for the Flames with two teams that give this team fits in the Ducks and Coyotes and strong teams like the Kings and Sharks.

Everybody knows the battle this team faces as we rebuild, we don't need to hear these guys go on and on about how bad the team will be. They talked about it at the beginning, fair enough. Now they have to dump on it again, the season has not even started yet. I remember a pre-season game last year with the Habs where they said the exact same drizzle about them. You can't predict hockey.

I don't mind it too much. I absolutely hate the love-fest the Oilers have gotten the last few years with nothing to back it up, and I would seriously hate it if they started to do that with us just because we have some new toys on the team. Let the Flames prove that they deserve some praise before TSN changes their tune.

I'm opposite. I want Monahan sent back to the OHL and Sven to play at least half the season in Abbostford. Zero upside in them being subjected to the carnage that is upcoming.

I could care less what the pundits say about our team. They are usually justified in their comments and rarely follow the team as closely as a beat reporter would, so I always take it with a grain of salt.
Quite frankly, I'm more interested in the opinion consensus on this forum than I am in hearing what Daren Dreger has to say.
