It does take time for a guy like him. I think he can be better than a 50-point player if he's being pushed.

From what I remember, those comments were during the prospect tournament, right? Because I agree with you and Feaster there, he did not seem like he was in top form, and looked like he was floating through that tournament. What I've seen since training camp has started however is that he's woken up and been very solid, and saw him as the most dominant Flames player in the one game I got the pleasure to see live.

I think it's a bit weird too...because even when Iginla was traded, it felt like a rental thing. Now it's the start of a new season. Definitely strange.

TSN is so out to lunch. The Flames are not going to have trouble scoring, it is keeping the puck out of the net that will be the issue.

The kid was drafted 13th, has only played 25 games and is still eligible for the Calder. How many kids 25 games in, not named Crosby, dominate full games?
I don't expect him to dominate a full game until next season at the earliest. If anybody saw the ten minutes of that Edmonton game they would know he has the talent to take over a full game. He just needs time.
