Seriously though, how can you have this opinion that he's been so out of touch this preseason, when 2 out of the 3 games he's played were not even streamed online, there was no way to watch them unless you were there, and the third game was the first game of the preseason in a split squad game, where lots of fans were watching one game or the other, so who knows if you even watched that game. There is no basis in these arguments he's had a poor preseason from people's accounts, because these people haven't seen him play all the games. Have we heard Hartley say anything? No? Okay then.

That you want to see Sven dominate, in the preseason, right now and suggesting because he hasn't done that (even though he has looked very good at times in various games) he should be sent to the minors and be taught a lesson. You're focusing on the training camp alone and dismissing the times he's shown he can be an NHL player, in NHL games.

Playing well in the NHL gives him a leg up on other players, he's shown that he can do it so it gives him more leeway with the coaches and Feaster. I'd love to see him just take over a game but sometimes that doesn't happen.

Outside of Monahan he's been the best young player to be totally honest. Expectations have you putting way too much pressure on the 20 year old.

So what are reasonable expectations? When a guy says he wants to be the guy, shouldn't that set certain expectations?

I think we're getting way too hung up on one word here. At times during his call up towards the end of the season he was down right brilliant in various games. Showing great poise, confidence and offensive skill.

He's done it at times this preseason too but not a tonne of times.
