Berra's save on Omark was sick.

#1 Goaltender
Based on one meaningless game, Berra was by far the best Flames goaltender. Very impressed with how he is able to use his size to his advantage, not many goaltenders can.

I liked Galiardi's game. Jooris played well. I was glad Baertschi woke up for the last 10 min of the game. Horak looked really composed and confident.

Feels better to be 1-1 than 0-2

Im penciling Jorris in for the starting roster with Berra and Ortio splitting in net.

K. Just putting this out there. Reto Berra is my new frontrunner.
Talk about clutch in his first NHL shootout ever.

Only saw portions, but...
Baertschi looked great once he woke up.
Berra looked very solid. Great lateral movement and good positioning.
Kanzig was in way over his head. Send him back to junior before his confidence is shot.
Wideman made some stupid plays with the puck and at least one really bad penalty. If the Flames want to be respectable, he has to be solid at both ends night in night out.

Scoring Winger
Thought Berra played great and stole this one. Horak and Hanowski were strong all game. Galiardi looked good at center. Sven upped his game in the third. Jooris had a really strong 3rd period. The line juggling really helped spark the team and they did not quit. Really happy for them considering how the lineups were split.

Hall just admitted the Edm goal didn't go in.
