Just abandoned my car in Westhills and walked home (up those damned stairs) after trying to go down just to pick up some groceries.
I'll go pick it up later once SB Sarcee is open again.

What, you don't think all the signs warning of Sarcee delays weren't a good enough warning that instead Highway 8 was going to be closed, diverting all of that traffic through Westhills?
Took me well over half an hour just to get out of the mall parking lot this morning, partly due to people doing things like driving down the wrong side of the road then expecting someone to let them in when the oncoming traffic came.

I was driving up glenmore and the signs said Sarcee closed for paving on the 15th.....as we got to the point of no return, the signs read Sarcee closed on Sept 14 & 15.........turns out our side was not closed, other side was a gong show.......

we went down before lunch and bailed - it was bad last weekend too... I am sure the businesses in that area are hating life right now
