I don't think I can take YOU seriously when you can't even identify that both homosexuals and serial killers are born with tendencies. Just because you might be born with a sinful tendency - doesn't make it right or morally correct.
In the face of discussion, all you have done is call me names. And you wonder why most of you get ignored? LOL This is the troll thread because if anyone talks about facts they get trolled on by the gay lobby.

I'm perfectly fine with Catholics, it's bigots I have a problem with. I'd say that's the case for the vast majority of this community.

So what name could I call you now? I really don't care.

You were born with tendencies too. Does that make you a serial killer? Or does that make you gay?
If you take your "logic" to its ultimate conclusion then anyone born with tendencies is pretty much a gay serial killer and I hate to say it but EVERYONE is born with tendencies.
Suddenly the world just became way more dangerous... but way more fabulous!
So how does your point of view work with the pedophile priests anyway? Are you cool with the pedophiles? Is it acceptable because they are priests? Do you think it is okay for the church to cover it up and protect these people from legal justice in order to protect the image of the church?

Facts? This from the guy who pulls up a study that's not only behind a paywall, but incredibly flawed in methodology, and is relying upon the Bible as the knockout punch in his arsenal. You seriously want to talk about facts?

You're not allowed to bring this up apparently, he's only okay with certain facts (of which most aren't actually facts).

Prove it.
More hateful speculation towards Catholics from the "gay community".
I mean you guys act like moral experts but you're so out to lunch on basic things like being against discrimination against all groups - right after saying you're fine with them.

That study has much more credibility than yourself. You have no credentials of your qualifications, so I don't give your opinion any weight. I mean this is an academic study, and I'm supposed to not believe it because someone on the internet says not to?

Hateful speculation? Where?
Catholic =/= Bigot, but korzym12 sure does.
This community by and large has shown itself to be against bigots. Against people like you. The good news is that people like you are increasingly being looked upon as the scum they are. You are being marginalized. You are being left behind. You are dying.
And I couldn't be happier.

A) You don't know my credentials.
b) You didn't present a study, you presented a pay wall.

Their opinion is worth as much as anyone's. Opinions are just that, opinions.
This is being blown out of proportion guys & gals. Lets all take a step back and talk about hockey or move the conversation to private/off topic forum.
Thanks

This thread is:
A. Annoying because the arguments are circular and therefore has no ending.
B. Has nothing to do with the NHL or hockey in general and belongs in the off topic forum (if it doesn't get locked up never to be seen again, which is my preference)

Most catholics and religious people in general are illogical and self-contradicting.
Your beliefs are rooted in backwards, old world, disgusting mindsets and traditions based on nothing more then hear say and everything you have posted in this thread just proves this point.

I already posted my thoughts in the Kipper thread, the 2014 prospect thread and voted on the latest poll for Flames prospects...

You didn't link to a study, you linked to an abstract of a study and then you created your own conclusions based off of the most basic details of that study. The only conclusion in the abstract is that the study suggests further research, which basically means they didn't come to any conclusion at all.
Also, you are acting like that is the only study on sexual relations and orientation ever performed. Regardless of what the actual conclusions that came out of the study are, that does not mean that it was widely accepted in the academic community or supported by others. It could just be some nutjob making stuff up and the academic community dismissed his work as garbage.
Saying it is an academic study does not automatically translate to it being a reliable source of information.
I still would be curious to think what the hard-nosed anti-gay Catholic thinks about the pedophile priests and the church's cover up.

Did anyone else get sick to their stomach when some lunatic started comparing homosexuals to serial killers? Can we lock this POS thread yet? Or at least move it somewhere else?

Wow, don't log in for a week and a bit and come back to this?
The only thing I have to say is that if I was to live/travel in a country where the predominant social norm is homosexuality, and they legislated law preventing me from kissing my girlfriend in public (to the point where I could face imprisonment) I would be irate, and think it is totally unfair.
BUT, I don't think grandstanding at the Olympics solves anything, because all of a sudden we all look like school-aged children in the playground trying to annoy the other kids because we don't like them.
I don't know what we (as western society) can do. Going into Russia guns a blazin saying "you must adopt our everything in the world is fair and lovely mentality" is naive. Until we can change the conversation from emotional knee-jerk reactions to calm, defensible point dialogue, there is nothing we can do that actually solves the problem. Unfortunately with the political climate that exists around the world (including the towns, cities, provinces and federal level of Canada), that doesn't seem possible.
My recommendation is that within Canada WE need to smarten up our ways of politics and get everyone (all citizens) involved in a political intervention with the children that run our country, and grow up. Once we do that, we can begin to stand on the world stage with some political weight and be able to back up what we have to say. Right now we're all just piling on just throwing stones from our glass house. Wait until the "trending" conversations shift to Canada and our treatment of first nations, immigrants.

Yeah, I come on to Fire and Ice to discuss hockey related news, not homosexuality, serial killers, Catholicism and rainbows.

Why don't you mention all the teachers and the police officer, who were in the news for child molestation? They don't fit into the gay community's anti-Catholic stances. I'm sorry but if you want to get special rights above all other citizens for belonging to a group, you don't get people on board by attacking other groups.
Deal with your hatred for Catholics and high STD rates before you want to act like an expert on a religion. Gays want more rights than everyone else but all they have is discrimination towards Catholics. Christians globally are persecuted on a much more barbaric scale than any gay is. Christians are killed in cold blood by the thousands in today's world, and if you're a Christian in the west you have to deal with people who have loads of hatred towards Catholics and Christians - yet this is acceptable and called "new world" values.
That's the main issue for Christians. You have morals and follow your religion, but face persecution and get told "your religion is prehistoric, stop practicing your religion, adopt my beliefs instead."

Please expand on how gays "want more rights" and "special rights".
