The most important thing is to protect the victims. The victims do not want to have to testify and relive the horrors inflicted on them on a daily basis for 10 years.
The courts have avoided this while still making it such that this guy will never see the light of day again. It was a job well done by the judicial system.

Suicide was too good for him. I'm not saying he should have suffered a painful death at the hands of another inmate, but I'd be a lot more satisfied with this outcome if those were the circumstances.

He was segregated and checked every 30 minutes. At least those man hours can be better spent elsewhere now.
