Your line-up post re-rates and your needs -2013-14 Season

Sharks:
Neal (74) - Staal (75) - Hartnell (73)
XXXX (XX) - Turris (72) - Callahan (74)
Downie (66) - Boyle (64) - Bergeron (66)
Tangradi (62) - Desjardins (59) - Smith (61)
Ehrhoff (76) - Phillips (76)
Wideman (75) - Petry (73)
Sbisa (70) - Schlemko (66)
XXXX (XX)
Harding (71)
The Sharks are in a bit of a transition, trying to build from within but remain competitive this season. We want to make the playoffs, but not by mortgaging our very positive looking future with 10 great prospects set to turn pro next year.
We have approximately 14.5 million in cap space and are looking to add a top 6 winger, a starting goalie and a depth centerman. A tall order with the space available, but we are open to exploring options.

C. Conacher (68) - B. Richards (74) - M. Grabner (70)
R. Horak (63) - T. Johnson (63) - A. Killorn (66)

C. Stoner (70) - K. Quincey (68)
S. Eminger (64) - D. Drewiske (65)
J.-S. Giguere (76) - M. Neuvirth (72)
Certainly some holes in the lineup, but overall, it's decent in comparison to what I had a year ago or so. We hope to fix some of the problems via free agency or trade.
NEEDS:
- bottom-six forwards
- 2nd/3rd pairing defensemen
- goaltending

My team needs more high end talent (72+ ov) among the forwards, and possibly a starting goalie.

He transposed Spezzas rating though, that's why it looks so good.

Definitely a better line-up then last years but there are still some holes on my team that needs to be filled.
Needs
Bottom 6 forwards (all positions)
Top 4 defender
Top line forward (preferably winger)
OTB
2nd round picks this year
prospects
AHL players
I can obviously move roster players if the deal is right.

after UFA season:
Left Wing ........................... Center .............................. Right Wing
69 Carl Hagelin ..................... 76 Vincent Lecavalier ........... 71 Lee Stempniak
68 Cory Conacher ................. 74 Brad Richards ................. 70 Michael Grabner
65 Matt Martin ..................... 66 Craig Adams ................... 66 Alexander Killorn
64 Rich Clune ....................... 65 Kevin Porter ................... 65 Jordin Tootoo
64 Stephen Gionta, 63 Roman Horak, 63 Tyler Johnson, 63 Keith Aucoin
Left Defenseman................. Right Defenseman
73 Andrew MacDonald ........... 71 Nick Schultz
70 Clayton Stoner ................ 68 Kyle Quincey
64 Steve Eminger ................. 65 Davis Drewiske
62 Brandon Manning, 60 Marc-Andre Bourdon
Starting Goaltender............. Backup Goaltender
76 Jean-Sebastien Giguere ..... 72 Scott Clemmensen
Wanted two bottom six forwards via UFA, got it done with Adams and Tootoo. If nothing major happens on the trade market, Killorn will start the season in the AHL for cap reasons, so Gionta will be in the lineup. Bottom six is going to be tough as nails - Porter and Gionta are the "worst" in the checking category with 87 (Martin, Adams, Tootoo and Clune have 90 or more), and Clune and Tootoo are 90 or over in fighting.
Still looking for a bottom-pairing defenseman.

The Jackets' goal for 2013-14 was to be good enough to compete for a playoff spot while holding on to our 2014 1st round picks. We don't really like our team at all but we do think by looking at all the teams that have posted ratings above (except for Penguins) we are not as bad off as we thought we were and think we can get the job done with a decent top 6 and solid goal tending from Ryan Miller. Besides, who would be happy having the 2013 NYI team and they won the damn cup!
Like most other teams we have a top 6 with players who have ratings in the 70's. Our D is OK and if managed correctly should be OK.
This exercise has been helpful because I now realize we are not as sh^t as originally thought.

Still a lot of empty spots on my roster, even with getting a few guys in this final batch of ufas I will lack some depth but I've always been a gm that looks for chemistry.

The Bruins are close to having the roster set for opening night. I'd like to add a center but we'll see. Also have a bit of a black ace as Havlat (68 OV) cleared waivers this summer so I can bring him up if I get any long term injuries like I did last year.

Not an entirely accurate representation as this version is about 3.1 M over cap- a few routes to get under relatively pain free
Looks similar to many of the other bubble teams- hoping for good goaltending, offense from the big 2 from last year, and a solid D
needs-
cap relief
4th liners
upgraded top 9 winger
