^ Really? There is not nearly enough background music.
I think the beat is enough, but maybe later in the song would work better?
We're obviously not going to please everyone. A lot of people like Fall Out Boy, but there's probably as many who absolutely hate it. Personally I'd say go back to Ring Of Fire and be done with it.
Put me on the list for NO to FOB. Just because the song has the lyrics "Fire" doesn't mean it would be a good goal song. FOB is in the same group as Hedley to me. Cheesy bubble gum punk rock.
Franz Ferdinand take me out isn't exactly new, but start it at the 2 minute mark and it would be pretty fitting.
What about franz ferdinand - this fire
I can't post a link right now on my phone sorry

I don't know, I kinda like the idea of a song that annoys the opposition and is unique. That's why I liked Barbra Streisand. The RATM song , the FOB song, all these songs sound like generic "pump up" songs.
Dance music is full of catchy, unique songs that would annoy the opposition, but you'd have to drop the fire references. Despite being absolutely overplayed and rage inducing to actual electronic music fans, I think Levels would've been perfect.
@ the 1:00 mark.
As for songs with stupid fire references, here's one, don't know if it'd work as a goal song though but I guess mentioning it is warranted cause it fits the theme... It actually is sort of "pump up" but it doesn't have a chorus that lends it's self to a goal song.
Umm, to be blunt, there's a reason they're throwing out Duck Sauce. This is a hockey game, not a dance club.

I didn't suggest it for dancing. I suggested it for it's catchy melody which could annoy other teams and still liven up the dome. Levels is too popular now anyways and I'm pretty sure every arena in the world has it in it's regular "filler music" rotation. It was just an example of what I meant. Also Levels has a melody people chant/sing to at shows which is the great part of the Blackhawks song.
Imagine if instead of no one caring about the song and just cheering, the dome broke into something like this after every big goal:
Frankly, I think it's better than another "Welcome to the Jungle" wannabe about fire...
Edit:
Here is a potential suggestion that falls along that idea....

I say it every time this comes up. And I'll keep saying it. Right around the 1:00 mark. I've submitted it, I hope this organization is cool enough to give it a shot.

That would just sound like 2 different people very blandly and mumbling "fire in the hole" over the PA system.

You know you listen to too much dance music when you think something would be a good goal song (and sing-along song) just because it has four bars of melody.
How come so many people think the fire theme is lame? We would be the one of what... 3 teams that use a goal song that relates to their team. Who cares, Chicago doesn't use a native related song, but name one that would work.
The fact that the Coyotes use Howling for You as their goal song is damn awesome.
When there is a chance to work with a theme, I say go for it. Besides, there isn't a easier theme to work with than fire
Intro - Spitfire
Goal Song - Righteous Smoke
Powerplay - Sleep Now in the Fire

Well, that was one of the worst ideas I've seen in this entire thread.
How about this? No dance music, no cheesy hair metal or 80's music. You want to annoy the other team? That's great, but try not to annoy our team in the process.

You must love Ducksauce too...
But really, it's got no pump up to it, it's just a banal trance beat. I don't know, whatever you see in it, I don't I guess.
