Bags of grass clippings (which according to the website are actually allowed). A bag of pine needles and pine comes has been specifically tossed out by them on 3 separate occasions and is now just sadly sitting in our alley. I don't get it.
Can you just throw that in first and pile other "normal" garbage on top? I highly doubt that they're going to find it, even if they seem to care?
I give my garbage men beer and Tim Horton's gift cards.
Not only do they take my grass clippings, they cut the grass.
I have often thought about this, but I don't want to leave anything out as the blue bin prowlers would probably take it. I have lived in my house for four years and I still don't know the time of day they swing by (combination of middle of the week plus they changed the day a little while ago).

Styrofoam can be recycled, but the city does not accept it in the recycling bins. It should go in your garbage.
What I understood the city does is that anything recyclable, but that the city itself can't process, is sent to another facility elsewhere... So its probably still good to put it on the blue bins.

I make sure to hand it to them personally. Then I know they get it. I have the luxury of having flexible time constraints.
