Maybe they need cash for Soldado?

no with the tv money cash isn't an issue, and they won't go in to the season with 3 CBs

including 2 in Kaboul and Dawson with injury history's, no one from the youth setup is ready to step up

What is it now? £80M + Modric?

Either this is all nonsense or Levy drives a hell of a bargain.

Does Bale actually want to go to Real Madrid? He does know that Real Madrid is where English careers go to die?

Ya know, recently I think that gets blown out of proportion. Michael Owen, yeah thats fine.

What about McManaman & Beckham? They both did well. I think Bale would adjust well..

Lineker did well too

adjustment wouldn't be an issue for him, Owen didn't know you could buy newspapers at kiosks around the city and he drove to the airport everyday to buy english newspapers

If I were Levy, I wouldn't want Luka back, but I would also tell Real Madrid that if they are planning to sell him to another PL club we would give Bale to Barca for half the price

But the 24-year-old has made it clear he will not employ the sort of tactics Luka Modric and Dimitar Berbatov used to secure moves away from White Hart Lane.

He is not going to hand in an official transfer request or refuse to play in matches and will give his all for the team should the deal not go through.
always knew he wasn't a mercenary like the other 2

Quote:
The club are still hoping he will reconsider an offer worth £160,000 a week, which includes a clause allowing him to move next year and for the smaller asking price of £80m.
this is my guess of what happens, he seems like a grounded kid and I think if AVB asks him for 1 more year and they are willing to put the buyout clause in his contract he stays

Wonder who he's talking to for advice? I would hope Toshack is in his contacts.

so all the Bale stories about demanding out today were lies, wasn't even in London

Soccer star Gareth Bale went on a shopping trip in Cardiff - while a deal was on the table to make him the world's most expensive footballer.
...
And he happily posed up for pictures with young fans who were in awe of the star.

I dont get that impression at all, I just think that no matter who you are, or what club you're at, if someone is throwing 80M+ at a player you cash the cheque and run.

I do find it amusing that stories that come to a conclusion people like are accepted as truthful, while those that don't are just tabloid nonsense. Funny how that works.

The article doesn't state that this took place yesterday.

Quote:
The winger has just returned from Spurs' pre-season tour of Hong Kong and went on the shopping trip before returning to training with the Premiership stars.
The beeb and ES both reporting he was in Enfield for treatment/training yesterday.
