Glenn would be good insurance for them. They can pick a young QB like Collaros as someone mentioned or Drew Willy and you have a capable backup in Glenn.

Henry Burris is also a free agent and read today they will apparently have interest him if he hits free agency. I think they will either end up with one of those veterans and one of those young pups can learn behind one of those two before taking over in a couple seasons. In the end its a win for the Ottawa franchise.

Great game by the Stamps, score flattered Winnipeg and could have been much worse. Mitchell just looks so much more mobile than Glenn, and has much better arm strength than Tate. However, 1 game does not a starter make, and if Tate is back after the bye week I would be very surprised to not see him start again.

Awesome win for the Stamps. For the second game in a row Stamps dominated the 2nd half with some good tight defense.
The game ball definitely goes to QB Bo Levi Mitchell throwing 3 TD passes and 376 passing yards. Honorable mention to OLine who shuts down Winnipeg sack happy defense and at the same time gave Jon Cornish lots of room to rush the ball. Cornish ended up rushing for 88 yards and also caught 87 receiving yards.
Nice to see Anthony Parker catching his first TD. I was getting worried that he is going to be a bust but the last two games he's been good.
Of course congrats to El Matador for breaking the record and continue to add some more. He is now in 34.
Hats off to defense especially Keon Raymond with 2 QB sack. Defense start well but adjusted in the 2nd quarter and the final half. Stamps is now 4-1 in the season after beating the Bombers 37-24.

29 of 33 passing for BLM. That's a pretty good first start.

Three words. Bo Levi Mitchell. It's only his first full game but if it came down to it I would protect him in the expansion draft. I'm not sure if Ottawa would pick up Tate or Glenn. Come to think of it they probably would take either for a back up but I think I would take my chances on it.

Ok I've been drinking, both of those Qbs could start for Ottawa but I would still protect Bo when it came down to it.

tate 28 years old, BLM 23 years old. considering BLM's career curve, i'd definitely protect him over tate. at the very worse, we can resign glenn or pick up a vet to continue starting until BLM is ready (if he isn't already)

Winnipeg has a decent defence and Bo shreded them tonight. The guy can play. He reminded me of Jeff Garica coming off the bench to replace Flutie In the labor day classic in 1996, He showed poise and composure. I think we have a winner here.

I wouldn't put that much stock in tonight's game for Mitchell. The Bombers are unbelievably bad. It's like cheering for the Oilers without the kool-aid and delusions.
I actually found a picture of the Bombers brass hard at work in a meeting.

Has Tate had as impressive a game? I can't recall one. BLM's upside is way higher than Tate's.

hahahaha. Where are those Bo Levi doubters on here now? He is the real deal. Winnipeg sucks but their defence is half decent and he carved them like a Ginsu.
Also Rod Black is an idiot. Trying all nite to find a comparable 1st game starter performance. How about the guy he looks exactly like?? Jeff Garcia!

i always thought drew tate lacked a little zip on his arm (or maybe i just got too used to hank), but BLM looks to have a stronger arm and is just as accurate/good at leading his receivers

Stamps coaching staff outcoached Winnipeg. Third down and 2 gamble was dumb especially when it was early in the game and they are only 10 points behind. Winnipeg's offense is terrible but Justin Goltz got potential. I think he played well considering this is his first start unfortunately he played against Calgary defense that keeps on improving as the game goes. Hats off to OLine for protecting BLM and also give Cornish lots of room. Overall, Stamps are way better than Winnipeg. It sucks that the 3 best teams in the CFL are all in the West while the whole Eastern teams sucks.

If you want to get technical Garcia didn't start the Labour Day game where he lit up the Esks. Flutie took the first snap, handed the ball off and then left. That was the game that came to mind for me as well. I think Dickenson had a similar game as well but it may not have been his first start.

How many QB's can the Stamp's protect from Ottawa's greasy hands 1 or 2. I thought it was 2 but I could have sworn that the figure skating Rider loving pundit Rod Black said only 1 can be protected ?
Protect Bo Levi and Tate. I love Glenn with the Stamps but this decision would be purely who is the most aged QB for me to un-protect.
