Damn almost forgot about that.
Bure totally deserves the retired number, he's one of a kind.

Good to see some teams are still retiring numbers.

This is good. Given the applause he received recently the fans indicated they still appreciate his contribution. Strange from Nucks fans actually.

wonder if Bure retires in colors he never wore, or if they will make a special black red gold and white banner for number 10

He was certainly a dazzling player to watch. Long overdue.
Still can't believe they retired Naslund's number over Bure's.

The Orca Bay jersey colors are similar to the current ones
But they should retire it in the black and gold skates one

Naslund was a class act. An awesome captain, a great leader, and had a huge involvement in community. Some numbers get retired because they put up points. Naslund's number is up there because he did his job extremely well, and then some. 3 time all star, Lester B Pearson, and Hart runner-up. Rocket Richard runner up in 02 (only to Iggy), Rocket Richard runner up in 03.
Great player. He did wonders for the Canucks franchise.

Makes sense. Bure was unreal
This should only be their 2nd retired jersey after Linden

There were some other "circumstances" revolving around the Bure-Canuck relationship or lack there of. The air has slowly been cleared.
It was an interesting night. Daly was there for a QnA as well as Gillis and Torts. Nothing earth shattering but a fun/neat night overall.

The only Canucks that I could stand were Linden and Bure. My brother cheered for the Canucks growing up so, we had a few battles. But, when I did watch games with him Bure was such a treat to watch. He would have tore up the record books if he wouldn't have injured his knees. Too bad, such a great player. Long time coming for his jersey to be put in the rafters.
