Probably likes to win, contrary to the Avs game plan.

SOB is a good guy; he's just a party animal. Ran into him multiple times at the Roxy in Vancouver, would not be surprised to see him at Cowboys in Calgary on the regular.

He was the guy who Giguere was talking about in regards to the whole Vegas trip thing.

Besides the Vegas thing, what has been said about SOB from Avs fans?

I don't really care, but if you're going to claim you got to go a little beyond "I'm sure of it". Same to Fotze above claiming Statsny, but that's Fotze.
But again, the mandate to lose from managment means they probably didn't care at all about a Vegas trip. And Giguere is just another guy that likes to win, and thus doesn't fit into the Avs plans moving forward.

I find it funny how people actually think Management of teams actually tell their players to lose, hilarious. They just sucked

Still awaiting a link there chief.
I heard it was the Av's assistant goalie coach that Giguere was referring to.

Hey, remember when this thread was about Monahan?

It's tongue in cheek, as a wink to those who find it crazy that the core they have could be so bad. And also to the Oilers. Oh and to the Flmes fans who think it is the path to success.
In short....its a joke.

When you have such bad defense as both the Avs and Oilers have, it's no wonder they're always at the bottom of the standings even with top picks in their lineup.

Good thing Monahan has such a great two-way game. It'll really help out the Flames.

Did anyone imply that management told the players to lose? I haven't read that anywhere. Maybe you could point that out for us?
Management didn't even try to sign a key player (ROR) and halfway into the season when it was apparent the team had quit on their coach didn't replace him in hopes of sparking the team like the Sabres tried. Their management seemed very content to ride out the season without ROR and with a coach that they had to know lost the team. The backup goaltender even publicly admitted that players on the team never cared and it was comical how the team actually picked up their play after the comments like the backup goaltender was a better motivator than the coach and the sad truth is he probably was.

Well we sat on Bob Hartley for the rest of the season even though he got pitiful results. Did we try to lose on purpose?

I think you know the answer to that. Just look at the lineups management iced at the end of the season. And we all know Feaster isn't going to fire Hartley as they are a package deal.

The team finally recognized that coaching wasn't and hasn't been the problem for the Calgary Flames.
EDIT: And also apologies to MissTeeks.... MONAHAN!
Really like what he brings and he seems like a very driven kid. I'm hoping to see him an others come into camp and drive the intensity/competition up.

I'm surprised Hartley got as much as he did from the roster last season. And really glad that he was able to increase Bouwmeester's value up to where it was.
