Gaudreau just embarrassed some poor defenceman, put like 4 dekes on him and flew by.

Knight just scored a beauty backhand crossbar and in.

Klimchuk has had a few better drills but looks like a recently drafted kid, unlike Monahan who looks on par with the "vets".

There isn't much info online about him other than his hockeydb.com page.

He's from Morinville, just north of Edmonton, and played for Spruce Grove in the AJHL. He now attends Quinnipiac University in Connecticut, which lost the Frozen Four final to Yale this year.

He's an undrafted 21 year-old, with only 2 years in college so far, so he could play another 2 more.

Looking at his stats, he was probably a third or fourth liner on one of the top college teams last season.

As much as Flames fans are excited about his potential, I think most of us still underrate him. I've been following Hockey East closely since I enrolled at Boston College in '06 and Gaudreau is by far the best offensive talent I've seen in the conference in that time. I'll be shocked if he doesn't become an elite NHL player.

I noticed this too....Looked like his conditioning wasn't great, imo.

3 on 2 drills now.

Gaudreau is very smart defensively too.

Klimchuk with a beauty in deep, Ferland with a bullet one-timer.

Monahan has great hockey sense and awareness.

I really hope Gaudreau succeeds I'm just really sceptical. I'd feel a lot better if he could get up around 175

Little known fact: Brian McGrattan is actually Johnny Gaudreau in Transformer mode. The Flames are just trying to avoid him doing it so as not to waste all his awesomeness.

Lol Gaudreau is frustrating Ferland on the defensive side of things. Yelled a loud F word as Gaudreau read his pass easily and cleared the zone. Previous play Gaudreau deked Ferland and he bit hard

I think I may have to get up there for the 2 PM session with what AC is saying....although a different group of guys, it sounds like the skill level is way above years past.

Group B should be amazing as well. Janko, Agostino, Granlund, Sven, Poirier! Add to that the bulk of the Upper end D-prospects! And Kanzig the giant!

Also curious as to how Ortio is going to look.

I'm way less impressed with the afternoon group. Really only Baertchi and Porier there that I want to see. And the new Giant D-man kid.

Wotherspoon too. And Seiloff. Oh crap, maybe I will go....

Really?

Notables to me in A are:
  • Berra
  • Gaudreau
  • Gilles
  • Harrison (just because we don't know who he is)
  • Knight
  • Monahan
Notables in B are:
  • Agostino
  • Baertschi
  • Granlund
  • Jankowski
  • Kanzig
  • Ortio
  • Poirier
Notables to me are just guys I want to see in particular.
