its probably like getting a divorce after being with the same spouse for 15 years- you have the urge to slut it up for a while.

Good!! Calgarians still like Iggy after this signing.
I am glad he stayed in the East. Too bad he won't be playing with Sid this season but Bergeron or Krecji is not a bad second choice.

I know I am in the minority but his respect level keeps dropping for me. He played really well for us blah blah blah but he has been a ###### for the past couple of months.
Hopefully the Bruins don't even make the playoffs now.

I know a few months don't prove a thing, but his actions the last few months have shown he is just a mercenary.

They really shouldn't... He really should have. Based on his performance, anyway.

A little surprised that he stayed out east and the money but seeing as it's just one year it works well for the Bruins. He will look good in Boston silks.

I don't think there should be any hard feelings for the way he left, he very well could have requested a trade much sooner in his career but I think he honestly held on as long as he could before he realized the team is a mess and not competing for cups in the near term then he still held on until pretty much the last minute.

Nope, no link. Just a source (in this case, actually, two) that I trust and have been bang on with a couple other things this past few months, that the Bruins essentially got Feaster "back", for assuring the Bruins Iginla was going to accept to Boston, by keeping the Flames on the hook for a trade most of trade deadline day...a fairly significant trade from the Flames perspective....with zero intention of following through. Having the Flames have to jump through some hoops and spending time that day planning and waiting for that trade to be potentially happening.

I'd be lying if I didn't feel a little screwed over for a minute or so but at the end of the day he wants his cup and I can't blame him. It's a business and he's a UFA. He's looking our for #1 and frankly I hope he gets his cup. No ill will here.

I knew it.
Iginla instantly slots in the top 6 with Horton gone

Iginla didn't screw over again. Get over it people.

I dunno, after watching Bartkowski in the playoffs I can see why the Flames were after him. He certainly has a better chance of being an NHL regular than either of the guys we got from the Penguins.
Sure it's his choice because of his NMC, but for him to refuse Boston despite the Flames begging him to waive and then sign there a few months later, it's certainly understandable why people would be a bit salty.

Decent top 6.

That's the kind of contract you get when your reputation is shot to heck, you're near the end of your career and no one thinks you can do it anymore but they'll give you one more shot to try and surprise them.

Maybe Rask holds out and we trade Kipper's rights for Bartkowski.

There are a lot of people in this thread.
Grats to Iggy.
Now let's move on and concentrate on the Flames.
